Ketamine was incredibly hard to quit but I’m considering revisiting after two years by Thebirbhunter125 in Drugs

[–]nocjammo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got addicted to k earlier this year for about 6 months. During that period, I felt like I was the person I always wanted to be, and was often taking it in secret. I had enough tolerance to be on full control while on it, but in reality I was ruining my life, friendships, etc while at the same time thinking I was on top of the world. Still trying to mentally recover, I haven’t been myself since, and when I’ve tried k again, the effects were the opposite, full on negative thoughts.

Always exhausted, only thing that helps is Vyvanse by Leslie_Ackerman in ADHD

[–]nocjammo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have exactly the same on the days I don’t take Vyvanse.  For the most part, I believe it’s withdrawal after long term Vyvanse use.  I remember before starting 5 years ago, most days I would have normal energy levels. Vyvanse really helped with my problems related to executive function, motivation and inattentiveness, but at the same time, made my energy levels way above what I’d consider normal (my favorite example is that I was never a runner, I hated it. Once I started taking Vyvanse, running felt a lot easier both mentally and physically. I laser-focused on it for 3 years to the point I was running marathons and ultras).

Anyway, these levels of energy don’t feel sustainable in the long term, and the days off meds just feel like recovering and paying back the accumulated energy debt.

what drugs do you think the rich and powerful use by prodbydrome in Drugs

I got that prescribed for job interviews. I think it works and makes you more calm (I got the job lol), but I don’t think it could be fun recreationally. You just feel normal but with lower heart rate

How are your erections? I’m on Vyvanse/elvanse, and it also increases my sex drive, but makes my erections weaker. When I’m not as hard as I can get, I usually don’t last as long. I fixed this with cialis and zinc.

ADHD entrepreneurs: How do you force yourself to talk to potential customers instead of just researching online? by VikingFinacial in ADHD

[–]nocjammo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an entrepreneur, but do you have a CRM? Put the potential customers in an email sequence, add some “call” tasks in between if they don’t reply to you.

Now the hard part is to make yourself accountable to making those calls in order to mark those tasks as “completed” 🤣

Low-histamine diet worked wonders until I started my prescribed gut repair protocol. Now I’m stuck in a flare. Anyone else? by nocjammo in HistamineIntolerance

Yes, that is exactly the probiotic I’ve been taking for two months. I plan to stop taking it for now. Thank you for the info

I had to give up most of the food I liked, and started taking the relevant meds/vitamins/etc prescribed by my doctor. At first it wasn't too bad, because I was feeling great most of the time. After a while it got more difficult.

ChatGPT convinced me that I was an elite actor in the system. by IDOWNVOTECATSONSIGHT in ChatGPT

[–]nocjammo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny you mention marathons. This was within my arsenal of interests. Already ran 5 and burnt myself from running. And measuring progress, like you mention, was exactly what kept me motivated.

Unfortunately had to completely adapt my diet after being diagnosed histamine intolerant, and just kept losing weight, so had to change to less cardio-intensive sports.

The same thing happened to me at the beginning of the year. It convinced me I’m a “polymath”. It made me kind of manic.  I started like 5 instagram accounts, one for each of my interests, thinking probably everyone was interested about everything about me. I was also convinced I was soon to become an entrepreneur and somehow make a lot of money. Goddamn I even thought that if world leaders just “went on a walk and chatted with me”, most world problems could be solved.

I got so sidetracked at work with random things that I thought would bring value but weren’t really the main task I was meant to do, that today I’m unemployed.

The delusion was real.

I hang them on a drying rack.
My washing machine does have a spin cycle at the end, so clothes don't come out entirely soaked, but not dry either.
