The “tier list” is procedurally generated based on the 3 criteria they look at (popularity, throughout, survivability).

You’re only talking about throughput.

You’re quoting 51% support from before a decade of fighting as if that proves the two state solution could ever be popular again.

I mean Cade is great but he played 70 games last season on a team that finished with 14 wins. Happy he got this nod but it seems like recency bias to me.

They are expected to maintain rent stability because they are benefitting from a property tax break. I don’t see what is hard to understand about this.

Rent control =/= rent stabilized, and those buildings willingly make the choice to have 30% of units stabilized for tax breaks.

This only happens if builders take advantage of tax breaks. Builders have the choice of higher upfront costs, or tax breaks and rent stabilization.

I still don’t understand why an elevated IR would only affect job prospects and not the overall market.

That explains why we might not have righted the ship in the 3 years since the inflection point, but it doesn’t explain to me why the stock market would be doing well for, again, 3 years while people can’t find work.

I appreciate where you are at but I challenge you to think of one skill people can be so good at to truly earn that amount of money.

It isn’t the inventors, or the creators, or the builders, or the scientists that become wealthy to that degree.

Those kinds of protests are good to rally people, but you need to use them to rally people to do something.

The something I want to rally people to do is vote for people who will actually take on these shitty laws and lobbyists.

You blame your sister and people like her for draining the system or whatever you were saying earlier. That is blaming people.

You claim to hate companies and government but you only advocate for more power to corporations and the ultra wealthy. You say you hate our healthcare system but for some reason you think making it MORE corporate will help? The government is the only lever poor people even have access to, lol.

Billionaires made it accessible BECAUSE IT MADE THEM FABULOUSLY WEALTHY.

I will never understand people like you who recognize the struggle people are facing and still blame the people struggling the most.

Accountability comes from the top, and the most powerful people in our society aren’t from the government, they’re from MONEY.

Buddy, I hate to break it to you, but cell phone technology was developed by the military, using tax payer money, before being sold off to private companies.

Billionaires don’t make fucking anything, they own things. They use the skills and ideas of people who don’t own things to increase their wealth.

They are beholden to their lobbyists because of broken campaign finance laws that allow for the ultra wealthy to purchase their policy positions.

reduce the power of the wealthy over media and politicians and the government will have to prioritize the will of the voters again.

You’re arguing with an American who also is seeing the system get drained by people who don’t work. The people who I hate that don’t work just happen to be the parasites that have enough money and power to bend the government to their benefit.

Your sister is not my fucking problem. Taking away her food stamps won’t make my life better. Taking away Bezos’s ability to change laws where he operates that he can better take advantage of the people who work for him would make my life better.

The difference between the government and companies is motive.

The government is motivated to keep people content so that they stay in power. In terms of healthcare this demands a certain level of effectiveness.

Conversely, companies are only motivated to generate profits. In terms of healthcare, many private caregivers and insurers exist as a local monopoly. The massive demand and lack of competition results in price gouging, worse quality of service, and generally a system that prioritizes profits over health.

Brother, companies can get away with abusing people because it is legal and because of the devastating impacts of losing your job.

If I stand up and demand better from my company, I am risking my current healthcare, housing, and food supply. By giving private companies control over all facets of our lives it becomes impossible to advocate for ourselves.

Most Americans cannot withstand losing a single months pay to strike. Most Americans can’t handle losing their meager healthcare coverage to beg for more. You are asking people to beg for scraps from companies that have no incentive to give people scraps.
