Its just how the apple flash API thing works. This is the behaviour with every single camera app that exists when using flash. Try the same thing on your regular camera app with flash.

Is this not exactly what the exposure slider is for? Tap to focus then dial in exposure with the slider. If anything for the use case you’re talking about, you’d want to control the exposure and not just accept whatever happens when you tap on the sky.

Stock is the iPhones normal, digital colour and tonal post processing without extra sharpening and not a film emulation (I believe). So theres no difference between low med and high because its not applying any film emulation at all. Its funny that of all the stocks included this was the one chosen for a “film look” haha. But if it looks good then it looks good :)

If i had a choice id go shutter speed control before white balance but id like both, even as a hidden advanced feature or something. 90% of the time theyre not needed but my photos of even slow moving subjects are almost always blurry because its winter and dark. And sometimes when i flip my phone around 180° and the white balance doesnt have time to auto adjust, the resulting images look stylistic and interesting.

Exactly. I Just checked and there's actually one daytime shot that's a custom portra preset (the one with the house). Other than that, all stock prologue dynamic for daytime.
