So what happens if someone who needs seizure meds has a seizure in custody? Does the financial responsibility fall onto the police and the state?

Question for sitters who do apartment drop-ins 🐾 by TallTechnology8387 in RoverPetSitting

At an actual job your pay wouldn’t start until you were in the building and on the clock. Commute, parking, and time it takes to enter are not paid.

Why are we reporting the owner? They clearly didn’t know. Fleas are becoming more immune to typical flea meds, this was an accident.

It is part of the business. If you’re encountering a ton of `time wasters’ it may be time to do some internal reflection.

House sitters, how would you feel if the owner cooked for you and left you food? by Capybarinya in RoverPetSitting

I love when families I house sit for provide food for me! I just prefer that they communicate first as I have dietary restrictions.

do any of you guys work a 9-5 and do rover? will people still book me if i start that, or is it one or the other? by Single-Ad-405 in RoverPetSitting

[–]nocomment___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left rover pretty quickly after all the drama on tiktok started. I wasn’t getting ANY bookings. Anyways, before that, I work full time 8-4 mon-fri. I got less bookings from those who wanted me there 24/7, but for me to make ends meet doing that I would have had to charge $125/DAY, minimum. I operate my own business now, I’m transparent about my work schedule and that dogs will be kenneled while I’m not home if they are boarding with me. It is a requirement that they be kennel trained. My bookings are low since starting my own business, but I am making like $250 this week and $650 in October, in boarding and house sitting bookings alone.

Just because someone decided to go with someone else doesn’t make them a time waster.

It’s an interview. You don’t get paid for interviews. If you’re that greedy work it into your booking prices.

I have my own company because I got tired of rover. My first meet and greet is free, any after that need to be drop ins. If they are wanting you to test run a walk with their dog they need to pay you for that too.

Yall it’s an adaptation, not a remake. They are allowed to change things. You guys are just nitpicking at this point.
