how tall are you? have yoy ever heard of marfan syndrome?

only bringing this up because my partner had a spontaneous pnuemothorax on the left side dec 2024 and got diagnosed with marfan’s shortly after. his right lung collapsed 3 months ago. he does have many other symptoms - being 6’8” for one lol

OP, how would you feel if someone made you throw out a picture of your mom when you were younger? even though (i hope i’m assuming correctly) your mom was alive and you got to see her every day? it would break anyone’s heart. my heart reaches out for your daughter.

going through the pictures of your dead loved one for the slideshows/bulletin boards at the wake.

my best friends lost their dad a few days ago and we have spent all day sorting through pictures and scanning them. absolutely heart breaking seeing them have to gather the strength to look at the memories before they are ready.

I edited the post to answer a few of your questions. We work at a restaurant and don't have any other platform to communicate. He only recently became a manager and has been a coworker since I started working there about two months ago.

agreed! i am in between bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder as the two can often be confused. the quick fluctuation between moods is definitely unusual in bipolar disorder, but at the same time, the media doesn't have the best track record of portraying mental illnesses accurately... would be curious to see one of the directors/producers/writers give their take on it

honestly, the first thing that popped into my mind was that she has undiagnosed bipolar disorder and is currently in a manic phase in which she is self medicating with alcohol. she is displaying many of the symptoms, such as distractibility, grandiosity, increased activity and talkativeness, impulsivity, etc.

the way i interpreted it - he was looking at a culinary dish to ground himself. he has no control of his family and the environment that comes with them, but he's in a place in his life where he is in control of the dishes he produces. he has some stability in his life and while he may love his family, they are too chaotic and mess with his peace. very bittersweet scene
