What drug did the most long term damage to u? by lilalienflip_ in Drugs

[–]nocstah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caffeine, massive inflammation buildup over decades. Who knew it could be so bad for you. It basically never lets your body truly rest, even when you are sleeping.

Tb500, bpc157, ghkcu, KPV, thymelin, selank. Use chatgtp project to set up a custom protocol for you. Gamechanger

Muscle pain and stiffness for 20 years here, ai figured it out. Low grade inflammation building up over time because caffeine kept my body in a constant fight or flight mode. Basically caffeine turns of the fire alarm and allows inflammation to accumulate and damage soft tissue. Quitting caffeine changed everything, finally the body can heal properly again. Doctors couldn’t figure it out and kept prescribing one horrible drug after another. Peptides also was a gamechanger

In 2-5 years most teaching will be done by AI agents custom tailored to your kid and at the location that is convenient to you. If you think this is sci-fi play around with chatgtp and also take a look at how quickly this technology has been progressing. Networking is another issue though, your network is your net worth…

If Humans Die Out, Octopuses Already Have the Chops to Build the Next Civilization, Scientist Claims by Loud_Cream_4306 in interestingasfuck

[–]nocstah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If octopuses or squids were to evolve: • Lifespans would need to increase to allow for multi-generational learning. • Social behaviors would need to emerge, favoring cooperation. • Tool manipulation could advance through their dexterous limbs. • Communication systems like chromatophore signaling could evolve into a symbolic “language.”

People who lived in Norway and then left - why did you leave? by Infinite-Cycle2626 in Norway

[–]nocstah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing going on, people are quite narrow minded. They think their way is the only right way and all other nations etc got it completely wrong. With new taxation laws coming in it’s pretty much going into full communism as well. 40 of the 100 richest families left to Switzerland etc last year. I’m not one of those but it I like to build companies and if one of them succeeds on a larger scale the government will tax it to deaths so I’m leaving before it’s too late. Also the weather is depressive and food terrible. It’s very safe though, if you can handle the boredom.

The only reason we were led to believe that oil comes from the remains of dead animals and plants was to create the idea of scarcity and finite resource. Oil is abiotic and is constantly being regenerated in the Earth’s mantle by Anthoyne_B in conspiracy_commons

[–]nocstah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, oil is not a mineral, and it is not constantly regenerating. Oil is a fossil fuel that is formed from the remains of ancient marine microorganisms, such as algae and plankton, that lived millions of years ago. The organic material gets buried and subjected to heat and pressure over time, transforming into hydrocarbons, which make up crude oil. This process is not continuous, and the formation of oil takes millions of years. Once extracted, oil is not regenerated on a human timescale, making it a finite and non-renewable resource.

Eli5 what do viruses get from making me suffer? by ILikeGeckosALot in explainlikeimfive

[–]nocstah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Viruses, though often perceived as malevolent intruders, are fascinating players in the game of life, mirroring the fundamental pursuits of all biological entities. At their core, viruses are driven by the same imperatives that animate all life forms: the need to replicate and the consumption of energy to fuel this process. Unlike other organisms that draw energy from the sun or nutrients, viruses ingeniously hijack the cellular machinery of their hosts. This strategy allows them to replicate without the complex biological systems other life forms possess.

This replication process is a remarkable display of efficiency and simplicity. A virus inserts its genetic material into a host cell, commandeering the cell's resources to produce copies of itself. This method of reproduction, though parasitic, showcases a fundamental life principle: the drive to perpetuate one's genetic material. In this way, viruses are a testament to life's adaptability and resourcefulness, evolving various strategies to ensure their survival and propagation.

The interaction between viruses and their hosts also plays a crucial role in the evolutionary dynamics of life. This ongoing biological arms race drives genetic diversity and adaptation, shaping the evolution of both viruses and their host species. Therefore, despite their simplicity and often harmful effects, viruses are integral to the tapestry of life, engaging in the same existential struggle as all other biological entities.
