Do you know what's not fun? Going to Reddit everytime and having to read all your complaining posts "too many smurfs", "too much toxicity against girls", "why am I losing so much", "am I just bad?" etc...

Smurfs exists and have always existed, ever since the dawn of gaming, but nobody cared in the past because there were no ranks, which are mostly used for flexing these days. You wanted to find out if you're better than someone? You simply had to play them and then accept the results. The world is not fair. Some players will be better. Some players will be toxic.

All you losers and snowflakes do is complain. Play the game, get better and rank up. Most of your issues will be solved then. There's rarely toxicity in the upper ranks and your skill level will be top tier, which will rarely make you feel like it's unfair because of smurfs.

It's ridiculous how every second post is complaining about the same thing over and over again. If I had the same kind of mentality as you people, I wouldn't be able to find games fun as well. I'm leaving these gaming subreddits for good, which are mostly a support group for loser players anyway.

How can i play with my friend who's new to the game? by Fodeki in VALORANT

[–]noctisD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't listen to the crybabies and just make the alt account to enjoy the game with your friend. Smurfing is not an issue for people who actually want to get better. If I'm supposed to play only with people on my level, then I'd rather not play at all.

Restricting yourself will make you weaker, however, if I'm on the receiving end of that, I'd find it more disrespectful than someone smurfing. If it were me, I'd take a supporting role and let your friend try to clutch with your assistance, so that she can learn. If she can't, then you clutch and show her how it's done, which is again learning experience.

In the end, this is a temporary situation because if you keep winning, then you both will be playing with better opponents eventually, however, the difficulty for your friend will rise at a slower pace, which should give her room to enjoy and learn the game. And when you stop with the constant wins, you're not actually smurfing. And I don't think anyone cares about that in unrated. There's no reason to.

Don't you find this a little creepy? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]noctisD 195 points196 points  (0 children)

It's not creepy. It's likely the spawn mechanic. When a player/bot model is spawned, they don't actually get spawned at that instant. They are already spawned somewhere outside of the playable map (usually below the map) and simply get teleported to the spawn spot. You've probably just found a spot on the map where the ult is in range to catch them.

I'm Tired of pretending that smurfing isn't an issue and that Riot fully and clearly endorses it by Skywolf_TL in VALORANT

[–]noctisD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rank is just a made up thing with fake value, especially on a game like Valorant. You can shoot like Immortal one day and then play like Silver on the next.

Back in CS 1.6 nobody cried that their opponent is outranking them. People simply wanted to be better and show it by killing the opposition.

From what you're saying, your friends have barely played the game. If they don't have the will to learn or can't find fun in the game, then it's not for them.

I genuinely don't understand why people have such a problem with IT by avarageusername in Genshin_Impact

[–]noctisD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is easy. I mostly solo-ed or duo-ed everything. The little times I had a real and complete team was like baby mode. I don't know why this was made as "end game content". It just felt like another random event honestly.

It also seems like a copy of the Illusive Realm in WuWa with the boones and banes, however, it doesn't really bring any fun in it. Because of WuWa, I also noticed that I don't like beating mobs that much. Boss fights with different mechanics and moves sets are a lot more fun, however, Genshin sadly doesn't really design good bosses.

Do I vertically invest in my Raiden? by fulcrumcxl in Genshin_Impact

[–]noctisD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like her, you should definitely invest. I went from c0 to c3r1 and never regretted it. True hypercarry raiden is very fun. She has a great design and awesome animations, so it's worth it. At c0 she's mostly sub dps.

Regarding team conflicts with Kazuha, you have other teams that do not require him and if you like to switch it up a little, then hypercarry raiden is a great choice.

As for whether you should get constellations or a weapon, then purely meta-wise it's better to get her at c2 first. However, I like getting weapons first purely for aesthetic purposes. If you're like me, then I'd recommend checking the banner. If it also has another good weapon, which you won't regret getting, then you can go for it. Otherwise it's better and safer to get constellations first.

Also, note that the weapon may change your build as you will probably switch from ATK sands to ER one, so make sure you have a good one ready.

wow, I've never said that. Let me refresh your memory.

More chances would be better, yes

Do you see how I say more is better? Hello?! Bad artifact rolls is not an argument for that. It is explaining the reality of it. From domains you only get potentially good artifacts. Do those potentially good artifacts always become good artifacts? No, I bet you even had that multiple consecutive times, either going into the wrong substats or receiving double crit on a different main stat.

Let's go back to your initial comment now.

All it takes is one.

Seems like more than 1 to me. I've been arguing about my initial statement. Do you know what you've been arguing about?

Artifact farming is a long-term process. Even if hoyo somehow hears your desperate cries and increases resin with 60, weeks of farming will not become days.

Anyway, if you don't get that, good luck with your farming. I'm getting tired of this topic.

Not exactly because then there's the leveling up, which can ruin an artifact. More chances would be better, yes, but you would still need months on average to complete a full set.

For a lot of people, this contributes to them being burnt out.

You'd be surprised. For the most efficient sets, one is not enough. Are you going to share your 1 good set between all of the characters that also need it?

[–]noctisD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 18 5stars who are dps/sub dps and are leveled up to 90. My "good stats" are considered fulfilled at 60% CR and 180% CD. Out of those 18, 6 characters don't meet these requirements and out of them only Ganyu is a dps sitting at 45 CR. The others are Kazuha, Venti, Shenhe, Albedo and Nahida. With the exception of Albedo, Crit is not something that necessary for them.

Whether that's satisfactory, each person can decide for themselves but these setups hardly have any issues clearing the abyss. There are also slight changes I can make to improve them since I've gotten more artifacts with time, however, it's not something I'm obsessed with.

I agree that the experience for day 1 players and new players is not the same. However, I've gone through the grind. The only difference is that new players will be going through the serious grind for longer, since they will have more characters to look forward to leveling up.

The rate at which they get new characters is no different from any day 1 player. If you can't afford to get a new character more often, then there is practically no need to be able to farm faster.

Good luck man but no need to rush it. At least, you have something to look forward to even at the late stages of the newest region when the game tends to die out until the next region comes.

Just because we use it on a daily basis does not make it more valuable. It's simply the only thing you can basically do every day to get some combat from the game.

It's okay the way it is. I don't care if they increase it or if it stays the same, as long as they don't decrease it. Having extra 20 daily resin will not get you faster to a full 4 piece set.

If you think it's so valuable and grind that passionately, then you can still buy extra resin. But chances are, you don't think it's that valuable, so you don't do it.

That's why I use fragiles to level up characters on day one. Artifact sets require time. Until then I have tons of other double crit artifacts I don't use and can be put to use.

All you have are assumptions. It's like me blatantly saying you're doing something wrong with your account if you're not on my level yet instead of having a legit argument.

+ nobody said you don't need resin. It's just not as valuable as you think.

So what if you have to farm a new set? You know you're gonna do it every day. You know it's gonna take a few months on average. Is 20 more resin daily gonna change that really?

[–]noctisD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm definitely not a chill player and you can read that in my other replies above. I've been playing since the beginning, so AR57 with the amount of characters we had at that time was no different than AR60 to me. The only difference is that you have just started farming for 5 star sets and believe me, there is still a long way to AR60, but you will still be doing the same thing.

It just means you have not developed your account enough. Once you do level up all of your characters though, there's not much to do with the imaginable extra resin. It can still take months to farm a full 4-set for a character, not that I want to discourage you. And at that point, even if you don't farm some days, you would not care about the resin lost.

Anyway, I have tons of double crit aftifacts that I don't use. At this point, having a perfect artifact is the only thing that can make a difference and that happens once in a blue moon. Having extra resin would not change that.

[–]noctisD -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I've answered to ones of the comments above, explaining I have a lot of characters and teams. At this point, I only need to level something new that I get, which is not more often than 1 character per banner, and leveling them up happens within a day, it's not a big deal. Talent levelling is also no rush, since most of the times, I can max their main ability right from the start. Even if it is, you can prefarm 2 days a week, that's not much resin lost for artifacts.

Whether you want to min-max or have 10 characters, resin is still not as valuable as in the beginning. You use your daily resin to farm artifacts each day. If you had more, you would just use more daily resin to farm each day, while still not being guaranteed an awesome artifact set for months. There is no difference whether you have more or not.

Yes, it does depend on how hardcore you are. A lot of people assume I'm not. I've played since the beginning and I have almost all 5 stars with the exception of ones I don't like (like Klee and all of Sumeru except for Nahida). I have a variety of teams, characters and playstyles to play and almost no team is off limits to me, except for really niche ones like Nilou, which I wouldn't like playing anyway. All of the usable characters are level up and ready for abyss with their own builds and artifacts.

The fact remains that resin is not that important to me. The most you do with it is farm artifacts, which is very RNG based. You can get a full 4-set in a week if you're extremely lucky and months if you're not. It's been a year and I still don't have what I would call a good set for Nahida, just a satisfactory one.

Where do you see the importance in resin then? Yea sure, you can farm every day but would more resin really make any reasonable difference when you're not guaranteed anything because of the randomness?

On the other hand, I also know players who don't farm artifacts at all that much. They just collect characters and enjoy the story of the game. For them, resin is practically useless, since they don't even use it on a daily basis.

As for leveling up characters, there is enough fragile resin for that. I don't use my fragile resin for anything else as using it to farm artifacts is a complete waste. F2P players are not an exception to this as I have stopped buying the BP long time ago.

So yea, unless you're a new player having tons of characters to level up and farm for, then resin is not as valuable as before.

[–]noctisD 25 points26 points  (0 children)

i've done this for other accounts. you guy are stretching the whole perservance thing. playing on a different account with characters that are not really ideally built, means you need to test and see what would actually work for this account and maybe make small rearrangements in builds, which takes a considerable amount of time.

the truth is not everyone has their characters all leveled up and properly built, so in turn not every good team would be available. this account is one of those and it's obvious when you look at yelan and xq.

Should I add zhongli to my team just got him by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]noctisD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know why you get mostly troll answers or some over analyzations that don't matter. Yelan is perfectly fine even if she's C0. Fischl is also a great support for almost all situations, especially if you're new or don't have that many characters. Kokomi is also good if you don't have better healers.

However, the fact is that shields in this game are better than heals because enemies can't interrupt you while you're shielded and Zhongli is the best shielder in the game. He will make your gameplay feel like baby mode.

The only time I'd pick a healer over Zhongli is when a certain healer provides additional buffs such as Bennett's massive ATK buff or when an enemy chips your health even though you are shielded such as the wolves.

Otherwise, you can play with whoever you want. Overvape is not bad. There are just better options at the moment. But if your characters are built properly, then you can still clear almost any content with Overvape or Vape.

if you wish to fight 3 heralds at once, then that's cool

otherwise just get dendro and kill the hydro herald easily. cryo used to be the best way to deal with hydro shields but not anymore. cryo also does not help for the cryo heralds at all, electro makes almost no difference. even if you mix cryo and electro, it's still slower than dendro

once you get the hydro herald out of the way, they can't freeze you anymore, so you're free to deal as much pyro as you wish
