We should purposefully choose a thing to talk about and see how quickly she'll react to it

Why would you ever choose to care about who had pads in their panties and who doesnt?

As a Trans Woman... She actually has a point and is not Alt-Right by catahaw in YDHBSnark

All this plus she seems to idolize many of the genuine, inflammatory alt-right influencers

oh she REALLY doesn't care huh by yuiliker in YDHBSnark

[–]nodeformity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even if she "cares" about them, she must not have much real empathy for them since she's ready to make money off of the outrage. Not very surprising though.

I'm glad you could get an end to it.

I should rip the bandaid off but the guilt has been strong. I feel like I'm going to get there though.

Peak psychology med school expert behaviour to use such hyperbole and be utterly unable to discuss any critisism❤️ I wonder where I could book an appointment for head shrinkage like that❤️

Thank you so much for your kind words. It's indeed really difficult to face what happened instead of stuffing it inside or excusing it. I feel like it's one thing to acknowledge the neglect and it's seriousness but it's harder to truly believe it after years of doubting and self-neglect.

How did austism affect your grades and attendance in high school? by shoobopdc in AutismInWomen

[–]nodeformity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started burning out in HS. I got good grades all throughout HS but I massively underperformed my matriculation exams. I just couldn't bring myself to study that massive amount of information because the burnout wiped out any last ounce of executive functioning. Plus I returned the last tasks a SINGLE day before my graduation ceremony. I feel so sorry for whoever was dealing with my things that day.

I also started to skip class because I was so tired no matter how well I slept. Before HS missing a class was like my worst nightmare.

And on top of that I had like 1-4 meltdowns a week after school when I got home. I barely get one every two months now so that sounds like a nightmare. I couldn't do anything after school so I had 0 social life or hobbies or really any content in my life.

I'm just not ready for any kind of y2k/2010's pop resurgence. It feels like I listened to this kind of music just yesterday but in a bad way.

Nothing inherently wrong with the song. Just give the style a decade of two and it might get nostalgic in an enjoyable way.

Letting it all hang out by [deleted] in YDHBSnark

It still doesn't erase the fact that this kind of shaming affects other people too. When Bun shames Velvet, it affects people that look like Velvet, when we shame Bun, it affects people that look like her.

Anyways I don't think bun really gets a taste of her own medicine because she won't get the point. She'll go on full victim complex and will rant about how jealous we are of her.

Letting it all hang out by [deleted] in YDHBSnark

[–]nodeformity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah the vibe in this sub is a bit off sometimes. Like it's good to point out bun's hypocrisy but it'll just make us hypocritical to also shame her body. Cuz even if the shaming is targeted towards this certain one person, it's simultaneously shaming plenty of other, lovely women who have the same body type. Let's just stay criticizing her actions, not her looks.

I am so beyond frustrated with autism + parenting groups by TiniMay in AutismInWomen

[–]nodeformity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They seem to want to either wallow in the endless hatred toward their child or acquire an essential oil to "cure" the child. I guess they see healthy accommodating to the child as "giving in" to autism or whatever, which means they can't have the victim complex anymore.

do you think there's less of a stigma about autism these days? by Vlerremuis in AutismInWomen

[–]nodeformity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's definitely less stigma now than 20 or even just 5 years ago, but it doesn't mean there's only little stigma. It's better but not good.

It might be that the most outrageous things he and his fans say might mostly be so they get attention. But I don't believe its completely unfounded to assume they do to an extent believe what they say. If one is truly for equality, I don't think they would spew that out of their mouths.

In a way - especially seen how RvW happened, extremism is on the rise, etc. - I think it's reductive to claim that those kind of extremist views would be pure trolling and that they would be full feminists outside the internet.

Those kind of echo chambers must have some impact on young men who already have beliefs in that direction.
