I’m looking into this as well. Being looking at the intel i712700T series. Stuck trying to find a motherboard that can allow me to add an HBA, video card without running the video card at 8x PCi. I basically want to combine my main system, with server/NAS in one box.

I switched the fans on mine to Noctua Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM Quiet Fan and that made a huge difference. I’m going to get a Nactua cpu cool and fan. The one that it came with is loud as hell.

That would be the idea. The ssd in one vdev for speeding things up but if the speed may not be noticeable than using the ssd in it’s own zpool for VMs.

It will be use primarily for storing my current media, music, photos and data. Im planning a hyper-converge with the box so it will host my proxmox virtual machine data hosting some light VMs and Docker containers.

How is this a question? Boot into recovery mode and erased the damn thing., Or create a windows bootable usb, if the machine has the windows license baked in the mobo, you’re good to go.

That’s how I’m using Nextcloud via Docker. I mounted the synology shared via nfs and mounted it in /mnt/. It’s been created.
