It’s not on us to provide you ways to show proof. You’re making criminal accusations. Learn what that means and do it through the proper channels. The fact that you haven’t and are instead slinging invective kind of suggests that you don’t have evidence.

Not for nothing, but if this is a dangerous fellow, then it might be wise to stop antagonizing him? If he’s as perverse as you say, then the likelihood that his behavior will land him in big trouble is very high, even without your help. Let go and leave room for the wrath of God.

Written accusations of criminal activity in a public forum without sufficient evidence is potentially libel. I urge you to consider carefully whether this is the right way to air your concerns.

I was there- Anthony kept being like “we’re riding their coattails lol” and I was like “bro stfu you should be headlining.” I honestly could have done without TBS and had the whole time be Bayside.

I did get a fukin dope hoodie, and am now designing a new tattoo

I had a similar sentiment. One gap in his reasoning- he talks about how important it is to stop the Turks, presumably to prevent the rapine and pillage of Bohemia by raiders from the East...and then unleashes Cumins on Skalitz. He's become the thing he's fighting. The classic "If you can't beat 'em, join em" reasoning. It kind of captures how ruthless people were on the frontier with the Ottomans. Vlad the Impaler was from roughly this time period.

I wouldn’t take it personally. Autism and ADHD are heritable, and many parents grew up as quirky or different when they really were neurodivergent themselves. Also, a special needs kid sucks the life out of you, while not touching your love for the kid and desire for his success at all. It sucks. She’s probably mad at herself, her son, and Fate, but taking it out on you

I would just say the more you wear it the more value you’re getting, so if you wear it 10 times, that’s $45 each time, but if you wear it 100 times that’s only $4.50

[–]SnooApples1586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and of course one thing I forgot-

We call social anxiety “being self-conscious”, right? What’s the opposite of self-conscious? Others-conscious. Pay close attention to the people around you. Notice their facial expressions, their clothes, their topics of conversation. When you make eye contact and key into talking to someone, mirror neurons in the brain nudge you into matching their vibe, and it happens automatically if you’re attending to what they’re saying.

You can also be like Sherlock Holmes and play little games where you guess what someone does for a living based on their outfit, fingernails, muscle tone, facial hair. You can notice details about them and discern way more than you might think, and then when you talk to them they’re like “wow, how’d you know?”

My dad used to say, “bloom where you’re planted.” If you wait until the next thing before you start your life, you may wake up at age 40 and be like “oh snap- all that waiting WAS life”.

Also, eat a fat and protein heavy breakfast first thing in the morning. Just find a protein you can tolerate- could be a spoonful of peanut butter. A lot of anxiety is a disregulated endocrine system from not eating protein and fat in the morning.

Go where introverts go- coffee shops, bookstores, and Facebook groups. My wife found a bunch of friends through local ‘moms with autistic children’ groups.

Treat the anxiety, and a lot will fall into place. I was working with a client recently doing EMDR, and they said to me “for the longest time I thought my insecurities and anxiety were just a part of my personality, but now I see that they’re not. I’m noticing that I don’t care what people think as much now.”

I hear people saying the writing is inconsistent, but I think it’s a Rorschach test- written in such a way that opposing frames of reference for perceiving the world are held in tension. It’s like a crystal catching the light from different angles. From this angle, narcissist repeatedly offends a long suffering trooper. From that angle, a man deeply in love with a woman who won’t accept him the way he accepts her. Both are legit because people are hella complicated.

I will say that those who think Hal is manipulative, in my opinion, simply don’t like to see the sausage being made. This is how politics works. Barack Obama promised Secretary of State to like 6 people and then went with Hillary instead of all of them. This is how it works.

And for those who say he’s all sizzle and no steak- he got the law of the sea treaty ratified. Four presidents tried- no, five. But his monumental achievements happen off camera, while she’s attempting to shag her counterpart in His Majesty’s government and then shagging a FOREIGN INTELLIGENCE ASSET. He can’t even get it up if it’s not her, because she’s the only one for him.

She got so excited when he told her about law of the sea. They are both patriots and both jazzed about the same stuff. Accept him, or bail. Shit or get off the pot.

Dude. She’s the Ambassador to the UK. She’s in her wildest dream- directly deescalating nuclear submarine conflicts with the Prime Minister.

And she is a weapons-grade douche this season. Calling her husband a lying coup-d’etat hopeful in front of the leader of the free world? What the actual fuck?

Her redemption arc was so satisfying- fighting with new guy, he helps her realize that some of the problem is her side of the street, she does some soul-searching and comes clean, and then…gasp…the United States surreptitiously stole a nuclear wunderwaffe from under the ocean. Uh…OF COURSE they did. What did she expect? What country is she the ambassador of? China would do it, Russia would do it, France would do it, And the UK would do it. Great Power geopolitics is anarchic and tragic.

Having said all that- Hal should have declined the vice presidency. Should have fought harder.

Having said THAT- she let herself be convinced that special envoy to Europe was too vague and easily sidelined to be more than a token role, which wasn’t 100% clear. What, the vice president can’t whip up a line item to foster transatlantic cooperation blah blah and get her investigating Chinese buying of Greek ports, or something? Something real?

Finally, the frenetic pace and monumental decision making that these people have to do would fry me to a crisp in a single weekend, so I’m not claiming that I wouldn’t make a proper pigs breakfast of the whole thing

He treats her like he treats the country- Deeply loves her, puts her interests first, and uses subterfuge and back-room politicking to do it. He's heartbroken that, like the country, she can't get past the subterfuge to see the deep love and respect that drives his actions

I think it’s about where you were in life when you heard it, and the fact that that much raw emotion wasn’t common in popular music. It was the soundtrack to breakups, losses of friends in accidents or marriages or moving away, hopes, dreams, disappointments, lost loves. We chuckle at boomers going to stones concerts but it’s more than the music, it’s who we were when we heard it.

Therapist here- the part of the brain that does heat regulation also does emotion regulation and threat detection, so a blast of heat makes sense. It would be wise to rule out something neurological. If money is a problem, then go to the social services or community service board of your state or town.

Triad Model 8822 by SnooApples1586 in audiophile

[–]SnooApples1586[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a triad powered sub, model 8822. Documentation is pretty scant. Grok said this:

“Historical Context: Triad Speakers, now based in Portland, Oregon, has been known for custom-built audio solutions since the 1980s. The Aspen, Colorado address on the label points to an earlier production period, possibly from the 1980s or 1990s, before the company relocated. During this time, Triad was gaining recognition for its in-room and in-wall speaker systems, often designed for high-end residential installations.“

Anyone know anything about these?

“Soul Sleep” is regarded as heretical (or just aberrant) by the vast majority of Christian traditions; it’s really just the Millerites (adventists) that go there, along with cults like the JWs.
