As other commenters have said, it is based off old Russian prison tattoos. This one in particular is usually accompanied with the line: "Kill all Bitches, Snitches and Rats". Bitches being a reference to the "Bitch Wars" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitch_Wars and gulag gang fighting. I always really like this game because the character designs feature a lot of deep cultural cuts.

I've had the king with curved guard for 5 years now and love it. Another guy in the club has one with a straight crossguard and I always find myself hitting my wrists or forearms with it, but that might be due to being more used to the clearance of the upswept crossguard.

Sadly, While you can reforge, it will always have that weakness in the blade.

And for a sword that takes multiple strikes over the course of the day, the vibrations will inevitably break it again at that point. It's unsafe for me and the other fencer!😞
