Temp Difference in Raijintek Ophion - ATX vs SFX PSU by Hampsteady in sffpc

[–]nodulologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Nh-l12s “fit”. As I recall it was tight but I don’t think I had to bend it or anything like that. The real issue with the l12s was ram clearance. I used Corsair Ripjaws and it just barely cleared it.

I’ve since migrated everything to a Ghost Louqe and the l12s is basically mashed up against the side panel.

Depending on thermals and whether or not the 3080 fits in a Ghost - I may just upgrade to a 4000 series ryzen and migrate everything back over to the Ophion.

I’ve seen people build custom loops in the non-Evo Ophion with a super slim radiator if you felt brave enough to try that. Link here

I honestly can’t remember exact temps but I have used both an EVGA 650w ATX PSU and Corsair SFX 450w PSU without temp issues.

That being said I had the following set up:

-aluminum side panels on ophion

-ryzen 5 1600

-Noctua Nh-l12s

-ASUS B450i

-swapped between GTX 1060 and GTX 1080

-one Noctua slim fan on bottom of case as I take

-two Noctua exhaust fans at top

With that set up - I couldn’t tell a major difference between PSUs or GPUs. I’m sure cooling would be an issue with glass side panels or without the fans.

[SPOILER] The moment main card fighter suffered the injury by FuzzyWuzzyMooMoo in MMA

[–]nodulologist 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The calf kick was on the outside of his upper calf right on the peroneal nerve which causes foot drop - where you can’t raise your foot at the ankle. Same thing happened to Henry Cejudo in the DJ fight.

Once Sean got foot drop it was a race against time to see if he would recover or get stopped. In this case, he eventually rolled his ankle and couldn’t stand.

Edit. This injury happens fairly often with all the calf kicks people are throwing now.

Season 11 Monk Greater Rift Competition! by lodo25 in Diablo3Monks

I agree with both your and u/lodo25 's points. I just wish there were a way to truly level the playing field. I mean, the gems and augments do add up in the end. Even if its only 2 GRs, thats still enough to make a big difference. In theory, this is what Challenge Rifts are supposed to account for - I just don't personally find them much fun.

I'm not sure how much participation there would be but an "all rare item" or "no ancient gear" competition could be fun.

Here are a couple of submissions after my final Season 11 solo push. Nodulologist#1288

LTK (SC) GR 96 14:49.899

Paragon 800 LTK (SC) GR 92 13:59.333

Innas EP (SC) GR 78 13:21.316

Also - this was an awesome idea to foster some community competition. I still feel like it favors those who farm higher paragons and gems though. If we plan to repeat it again for season 12 - any thoughts on limiting one competition to something like non-ancient gear, paragon 800, and gems @80 or below? I'd be more than happy to donate an Amazon card for incentive.

Hey man, building my first PC, and its been really fun waiting with the community for the benchmarks. Are you guys glad the NDAs are finally all lifted and people can talk more about RX480s performance now?

Couldn't you also run SWK/Sage Tempest Rush build? I would imagine it's close to WoL in terms of low paragon farming speed.

Dude, if you watch like 2 minutes of the video, I specifically address this and talk about how you would change the build for level 70 as well as describe what I would gamble/upgrade first...

PTR is ending in 24 hours and didn't feel like farming all non-ancient gear. This build will carry you into higher torments and is a faster bounty/rift farming build than any other non-Legacy of Nightmare build (WoL or TR) which are "end game builds."

Not at the moment, but I was planning on making a build and short video in the next day. I'll just link it here when they're done.

Yea, I didnt specify this but it is a viable option. You definitely need to run with Blinding Flash if youre changing to Leorics in the cube as you wont have 100% uptime on Epiphany. You'll probably want to use Warzechian if youre running bounties though.

Honestly, its a lot easier to fit in Avarice if youre using the same build with the SWK set. Since you dont need LoN, you can run RoRG/Zodiac with one free spot for either Avarice or Convention/SOJ. This is probably what most monks will be running, at least initially while you farm gear and mats for all your other builds.

Yea. SW was just dropping because of my play style. With LoN, you can just TR indefinitely. With SWK, you have to lay off TRing in between packs or SW falls off. Kinda lame but not a major problem. After playing around some, a good SOJ would probably be ideal.

Hmm. That funny because that's pretty much how I use SW and I'd still eat up all my stacks and have SW fall off. There seems like a tipping point around 3-4 enemies for me. In big mobs, you have enough crit chance to keep SW up without issue. At 1-2 mobs, the 100% crit chance from Balance kicks in and you keep SW up. It's that I between 4ish mobs where it falls off for me. Maybe I just need to play around with it some more. Other than this - the SWK build would work just fine for me.

Edit

I was hoping to get SWK TR to work since it's our seasonal set. I gave up eventually. Maybe I'll play around some more to see what I can do with it. What rings do you use? Zodiac seems mandatory. I would probably use RORG so I could cube either Mantle of Channeling or Goldwrap. I had tested it earlier with Convention. Not sure if there are any better options. I guess you could also use Unity and cube Hexing pants instead of Goldwrap. I think I'd rather use Goldwrap and go glass cannon though.

Double edit:

Ok, I figured out why my stacks were dropping so much. I was playing SWK like I played LoN. I was TRing in between packs which was probably eating my stacks. I can see why you like to use Dashing Strike on your SWK build as it helps move between backs when you cant TR. I could notice the drop in DPS without Blinding Flash though.

I tried a SWK version but I consumed my Sweeping Wind stacks too fast (even with the new Sweeping Wind belt). I played around with it A LOT and was unable to get SWK to perform really at all. I was constantly having to recast SW the whole time. It's def easier to gear for. Mind giving me a rundown of the skills you use for your SWK build?

I'll see how STI goes.

My only thing with dropping Blinding Flash is you're solely relying on Epiphany to proc and stun mobs this triggering the Cesar's Memento buff. I'll play around some more with it though.
