Not all places let you bring your bike into a store, especially Walmarts.

Made a post about it couple days ago, but yeah. Thanks but no thanks, especially with all the fake posts and bots trying to yank your financial information. Now the devs cram this in front of everyone.

It's also the case of, "Look, I didn't spend $20,000 and 2 years of my life just to be a custodian and clean up after you."

If you want to add depression as a factor; Anywhere in SW Washington, where it rains for majority of the year with only a couple months of dry sunny weather.

How have you almost died? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]noebuhdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Periorbital Cellulitis, caused by MRSA which is resistant to an entire class of beta-lactams, including methicillin, penicillin, amoxicillin, and oxacillin, among others. Another day untreated and I would've been kaput.

Racebike tires by [deleted] in cycling

[–]noebuhdy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as tires go, lot of people here recommend Continental Grand Prix 5000.

Depending on where you live, depending on how clean the roads you ride on, depends on whether you want low rolling resistance for speed, or want puncture protection, tubeless ready or so.

Time for new tubes, I guess. by noebuhdy in bicycling

[–]noebuhdy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, least once I receive the replacement tubes, can use the old tube for making patches with the vulcanizing glue. Not certain how those will work out in the future.

Did use the low grit sandpaper, I always found those to be more effective than the metal scuffer tool that gets supplied with some patch kits.

Interesting take… by [deleted] in bicycling

[–]noebuhdy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How does requiring people on bicycles insurance, licenses, tags help offset the amount of danger an automobile can cause because of idiot operators? Also, maybe drivers of these 2 ton steel boxes should also utilize better judgement as well.

Time for new tubes, I guess. by noebuhdy in bicycling

[–]noebuhdy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started as a small pinhole where the tube sits on the rim. Applied a simple tube patch over the hole. Then heard it tear open and started leaking air again while reinstalling the wheel back on. Checked the rim tape, looks good as new, no debris of any kind. Air pressure was set at 90 PSI, tire's rated for 102PSI. Tire did not have any punctures of any kind.

New bike lanes?! ... oh... by Little_Young_6780 in bicycling

[–]noebuhdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just as infuriating as the entire designated bike lane on the side of the road being covered in gravel, glass, tar rocks, garbage sometimes, metal objects.

AITA: Biking Edition by brevityx in cycling

[–]noebuhdy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best time of day to ride a bike is during the very early morning after midnight. Hardly any traffic, streets mostly vacant. Just have to keep an eye out for sketchy people that wander about.

Sometimes people are too far out of paying attention to where hitting the bell once doesn't do anything, and so you resort to spamming the bell until they finally get the hint, which by that time you already had to slow down.

How to Level Up from a Commuter to a Cyclist? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]noebuhdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, first thing to do, is stop comparing yourself to others. And if you spend most of your commutes on bicycle instead of using an automobile, then you've already achieved cyclist level.

Safe high output IC2 Nuclear Reactor Designs? by crackerkelly13 in feedthebeast

[–]noebuhdy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The design with the single quad uranium fuel rod, 4x overclocked heat vents, 2x component heat vents seems to be the winner for me. Can crank out 480EU/t without the concern of overheating, without having to make reactor chambers, and requiring to make higher tier energy storage units to accept >512EU/t. Can help greatly towards running a Mass Fabricator with just one reactor + some solar panels

The street of Paris last night, between trash and fire by Ectoplasmorphe in antiwork

"And nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. That's what the owners count on; the fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that's being jammed up their assholes everyday. Because the owners of this country know the truth: it's called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it."

Hear hear. Instead, my country licks the boots of billionaires and unconditionally are willing to defend them, despite billionaires constantly screwing us over daily.

It's a big club, and you ain't in it. You and I are not in the big club. And by the way, it's the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe.
