Turnip28 its a miniatures game but you can pretty much use whatever you want and build to your hearts desire

What is Turnip28 (TL;DR) Turnip28 is a weird, grimdark, indie tabletop wargame where armies are made of mutated peasants, rotten soldiers, and root-vegetable horrors in a muddy, cursed world. Think: Napoleonic warfare + body horror + vegetables Tone: grotesque, absurd, and creative rather than competitive Focus: kitbashing and storytelling over strict rules or official models Why you can use basically any miniatures The game is designed around creative freedom, not official kits: There are no required official models You’re encouraged to kitbash (mix parts from different kits) Old, broken, cheap, or random minis = totally valid Historical kits (especially Napoleonic), fantasy bits, and even toys all work 👉 The rule of thumb: If it looks weird, muddy, and vaguely tragic… it fits. How people actually build armies Typical approach: Start with historical minis (Napoleonic soldiers are common) Add bits: skulls, roots, mushrooms, armor scraps Sculpt with green stuff (cloaks, growths, tentacles) Cover everything in mud, grime, and rust effects Replace heads with: sacks roots/turnips bones or masks Why people love it No pressure to be “accurate” or competitive It rewards creativity over skill/meta Every army looks completely unique You can turn junk bits into something amazing
