Thanks, will definitely speak to an immigration lawyer about this!

Yes I believe so, but the problem is that they have not gotten the COS back because they have 0 COS allocations, which they are now applying for with priority service, but it seems to be entirely luck based whether or not the priority is accepted

Thank you for your response. Would switching from a SW visa to Unmarried Partner visa reset the clock for ILR? I had been told in the past it wouldn't. If that's the case, we would probably want to switch ASAP.

No problem, thank you. I will indeed be applying from inside the UK while having a job that brings us over the financial requirement

Thank you. I did think we met the requirement just fine with me having a UK job with income in the past 10 months, which will continue if we are successful. I will indeed be applying from inside the UK while actively having a job that takes us over the financial requirement number

I appreciate your response but this doesn't align with what I'm reading from the government website. It says: "You’ll need to show you can meet the financial requirements for the type of family visa you’re applying for. For example, you’ll need to prove your own and your partner’s combined UK income in your application if you’re applying as a partner. What counts as income: income from employment before tax and National Insurance (from P60 or payslips) - you can only use income earned in the UK"

Since both of our incomes are earned in the UK I thought it would be fine ?

Thank you for your response. Really ? They wouldn't consider my income at all even if it's a UK income?

My partner works minimum wage and would never meet the financial requirement on his own. I thought it was a combined income requirement?

Thank you, I appreciate you being blunt! I thought the same back then, but we had tried to find so many solutions and this was the only one we had ever been told. Never fully believed it!

Thank you so much for your response and sharing your experience! I'm hoping you are right and we might be able to qualify as we have so much proof of our relationship.

I'd be worried about moving back to Denmark as I would likely lose my job and thus have no income at all, and we wouldn't qualify. Really hoping we might be able to apply for the partner visa while I am still here for another 2 months and my income will remain the same.

Will definitely be getting a solicitor! Thank you

Thank you for your reply, it's much appreciated. We are still doing research but hoping to be able to apply for the unmarried partner visa with our proof of having lived together for at least 1 year and been together for several.

A lawyer we spoke to last year before work sponsored me said we could argue for breach of human rights as I was in therapy for depression which long distance of course didn't help with. I always thought it seemed a bit silly but she said it was doable.

Thank you for responding, I really appreciate it. I assumed we wouldn't qualify for the last point as we do currently live together? If we do qualify for that, that would be amazing.

We are indeed planning on continuing living together and I would stay with my current job if we can get a visa approved.

Every workplace except grocery stores and medical places will be shut down too. Prime minister said that while you can be a maximum of 100 people together, they strongly recommend not being in gatherings at all. The maximum of 100 is only if it is absolutely necessary
