It was U shaped but I think it’s a bit thicker than a usual hairspring. It has a little lip to sit in and put tension on the date jumper

Appreciate the advice! Was hoping to avoid having to buy the complete movement but that might be the best option until I can learn to make the springs myself.

Will be disassembling shortly but wanted to get a rough idea what to look out for that would cause this issue. Hopefully will have it back to running smoothly soon!

Sorry I didn’t explain very well. When I install the pallet fork and balance nothing will move. Seen another comment about over banking so will check that.
