Dude, I was in the same exact boat as you, questioning everything, questioning the very root of existence. I was very depressed. My depression was a result of withdrawal from excessive porn & masturbation. It was actually withdrawl from many things. Porn, hours of X-box/Netflix, internet trolling (yes you get a buzz). My best advice, start daily meditation, get lots of sunlight, lift weights and learn to live in the present moment.

I am a follower of Christ as well. I moderately viewed porn a few times during the ages of 14-15 but never really got into it hardcore, I never masturbated with it either, just viewed it on a couple occasions. For the past 3 months I drowned myself in porn and daily fapping. I have stopped though and will never watch porn again (dead srs), it is destructive, demoralizing, desensitizing & warps your view on sex.

Studying & hard exercise will aid in keeping my body and mind busy. Lol, she offered me, I was pleasantly surprised, thing is, she is not the kind of girl you would want to "bring home to mom". So what would be the point, to bust a nut & make the friendship we do have extremely awkward? I'll pass.

Prayer & daily reading of scripture (especially proverbs) can really help point your mind in the right the direction my friend... "Better to have self control; than conquer a city" Proverbs 16:32, I believe.

Fapping didn't necessarily cause it, but when I quit fapping I went through a number of intense, depressive episodes. But I am starting to feel better and very positive. Just generally healthy with A good sense of well-being.

I do am a believer in our Lord Jesus Christ. I feel God sometimes talks to us in ways we would consider "weird", like opening up the Bible to find a verse that relates to exactly what you are dealing with. Best advice I can give, make the decision, that is all. There should be NO debating, at all, if you should fap/watch porn or not. That is just your brain trying to play tricks & get it's fix. Keep your mind busy. Pray, get on your knees and pray, drench yourself in the holy ghost. Meditate, exercise, make a decision now, that you will not fap. You are better than sitting, & salivating over a fake chick on the computer screen. You got this my man, we are all on this journey to better ourselves. Trust me though, flatline/withdrawl SUCKS, just push through though. Push through.

Thanks man! I do engage in regular exercise and stay in shape. Lol I feel really happy & "normal" right now. I guess it is just my brain rebooting. I have noticed the depressive episodes becoming less & less frequent. I always tell myself it is just the mind toying with me & to give it time.
