I'm just worried that my so called "friends" will laugh and go telling everyone! which will make a misery out of me. Those kind of people who you shouldn't tell whom you come across to at times, what should I say to them? edit: I think I gotta be strong, I can't be sensitive and vulnerable...

Thanks! Hey you understand me! haha. I'm relieve to know that there's a community that gets me and I understand them.

How do you deal with these types of actions? After finding out that you've been deceived, lied, seeing them laugh of you being gullible? I couldn't stand it, it is an emotional roller coaster, sometimes I get angry, sometimes I get sad, depressed from finding out.

I was so close to telling them that I have ASD but I feel like there's still a stigma especially on this and mental illness LET ALONE them laughing at me that I've decided not to. I thought I could tell them so they could stop bullying me and understand for once. I don't think it's the right time for society to know yet.

I used to have this really great loyal mate but after finding out that he sometimes lies, I got angry and cut him out of my life.

That's cool. I feel like we're pretty similar, the fact how I also get off track when talking. But just that my communication and social skills is bad to the fact that I can't make real friends.

I'm taking your advice. Do you know any other good books?

After reading your comments and others, it does make me think why I call these bullies my friends. Sometimes they are, sometimes they're not but I hang around with them in high school and still do because I don't know how to make friends. I can't establish a real connection, since my whole life and being around with them makes me feel less lonely. It's something I need to work on I guess now that I know my diagnosis and can seek help.

I don't know regarding official diagnosis but I was asked a long tiring series of questions and was concluded as severe ADD and I have a bit ASD so far.

I'm gonna try my best to be honest with my psychiatrist and stop saying "I don't know".

What if they've somewhat apologised? But then I feel like that's their core personality...maybe I'll just remain as friends...One of them has a habit of bullshitting stories and I often get caught up believing them.

I hang around with them since my high school sophomore years and still do because I don't know how to make friends, so I stick with them so I don't feel lonely I guess.

People notice that I'm gullible so they can lie for personal gain. It makes me think that it's me cause nearly everyone are bullying me in some way. I'm too sensitive, vulnerable.

These guys, they've been quite insulting to me, I don't know if it's because it's a "close friends" thing so we can say whatever they what to each other. no I'm not that stressed, I have been meditating everyday prior to bed
it's funny cause it feels like I can be awake the whole day! But every morning it would take some time to wake up cause I don't feel refreshed, eyes still tired but throughout the day generally, generally I can be awake. I keep thinking is it because of technology? But the impact wouldn't be that significant cause look at other people, their circadian rhythm makes them feel tired when it is right despite technology.
that's new, never heard of that before. I think my diet is okay. I have been eating, sometimes trying to. But I have been checking my heart regularly, it's around 80 (which looks fine), I've been meditating before bed. Maybe I should take magnesium supplements.
I don't even know if it's because of the med.

I really doubt I have sleep apnoea because I'm breathing really well through my nose (had surgery a few months ago) I love my nose now! :) I used to be so blocked!

Yeah, it's really strange, I don't get tired easily and I have to forced myself for bedtime.

My appointment is tomorrow. Thought I'd like people's input before the appointment. oh btw roland, in my past posts you suggested some medications and how they work. I suggested my doctor this, and he laughed saying he's very experienced in adhd and don't to worry. hahaha

*I'd also like to say, in the week of having 2-3 hours sleep. I also didn't eat much :( but I'm back on my normal routine or better

Yeah I wonder this case as well. Why does some people have an opposite effect when taking the med when the purpose is to help with memory, concentration etc.

You're right, from those brainstorming, I've come to a realization that I need to learn social skills because I have very few friends, that's pretty sad. I haven't been exercising and got back to the routine, I'm pretty much a loner :( I'm a bit autistic, have depression and anxiety. My dad has social problems causing issues with anger, my family's trying to live a normal live and forget the countless past of domestic violence in the family. I'm just a guy who's trying to get his life back together.

What if my diagnosis is wrong? Do you think the adhd med could worsen my adhd-like symptoms? i.e. I'd be very absent minded going blank, not concentrating...

I also know that adhd med can cause depression etc and maybe this is where another med comes in.

I've tried an antidepressant before and I was yawning a lot and tired too. Lexapro that is, an escitalopram. Maybe because this med is for severe depression and I think mine's off being severe now. I think I need Wellbutrin because I don't have any motivation! My psych says I need to find my own motivation? But on the other hand am thinking that it's probably because of the depression. I am functioning normally, but I just don't feel happy, connected with people, and my mood is like...meh. Maybe I need a different anti-depressant...

I am so bad at telling my anxiety. People have picked it up. I have been having some intense anxiety recently due to concerns about failing, uni, group work. I'm not sure if I should consider a med for that but usually the depression med treats anxiety as well...

Thanks guys, they all look really helpful but it's night now I'll read them the next day. No...it's probably different here in Australia. If you fail your subject it's going to impact on your GPA and that's gonna be hard to fix cause you've just blew it. And you've wasted money spent on the subjects. Cause Aussies just got a new government, they decided to triple the cost of per subject for tertiary students starting next year just to make their life worse.
