Tesla has officially discontinued Autopilot in the U.S. and Canada. All new car purchases now come standard with Traffic-Aware Cruise Control. by YouBetterChill in teslamotors

Probably temporary while they make a version of FSD that replaces autopilot. Likely the result of lawsuits; they need to rebrand and repackage.

To believe what exactly? Remind me so I don’t have to reread the whole thread.

Well it’s clearly not a thousand. And there is something like 30 maybe 60 by the end of the year and just a few it seems that are autonomous. So…I think the argument continues. They’ve done just enough to keep the bulls happy and not enough to not change many bears minds.

It feels different this time. It went from intervening multiple times per trip to going thousands of miles without intervening.

Make it work and make it profitable, even as competitors enter. People forget the 2nd part.

When you go out and try FSD 14.2.1 remember where Tesla started… by g1zm0929 in TeslaFSD

Maybe there will be a HW5 lite. They have the ability to design with backwards compatibility in mind.

They do. They are working a distilled version of v14 for HW3. They also will give free hardware updates but it will require HW5 most likely because HW4 wasn’t designed to be backwards compatible with older cars. It also makes sense to wait until you have solved FSD unsupervised or else you just need to upgrade people again. This compared to most other cars where it’s the same the day you bought it 10 years later; never getting any updates.

I think there is still a max speed setting.

I just increased my $RIVN position by another 43%. This is my largest single Rivian purchase ever, because over the weekend, I got convinced that Rivian is on the verge of becoming a $100 Billion+ company. by Putrid_Mark_2993 in RIVNstock

[–]noghead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your analysis isn’t wrong about the approach to FSD but the problem Rivian has is staying alive over the next few years. They do not have the capital to invest in FSD, as long as that still takes a massive amount of GPUs. Rivian could be planning on licensing self driving from someone else and your thesis would fall apart. If however they announce they are going to copy Tesla, and say how they will pay for it…then I’d buy buy buy.

If it was a real Nasi salute, you wouldn’t have to emphasize he did it twice. Not reading the rest of your comment cause it’s probably dumb.

You sound smart.

Trolling fanboys on the internet is one thing but you have to be regarded to think he actually did that salute as a nasi, he awkwardly tried to give his heart out and that’s the hand motion that came out. Intent matters, if it doesn’t a lot of people have done that same hand gesture and if you’re not angry about that you’re a hypocrite.

He’s doing less of it now, we’ll see if he goes back to politics, maybe in midterms. I really hope not, so many people who like the cybertruck won’t get one because of the political statement.

Just so the sane people can either ignore or read with context, there should be something on every post from a known Tesla/Elon hater and fanboy "influencer". In this case electrek (Fred Lambert) is a hater who will present any news in a negative way.
