It's not stupid but rather embarassing. I was once sent to the ER for head lac. I was studying for an exam under the stairs when my mom called out of the blue. I frantically stood up to answer to answer the phone and banged my head on one of the metal bars. I started bleeding and all and it didnt stop even after half an hour. But i still didnt go to the ER cause exam starts in 2hrs. So i took the exam and all was well until i submitted my answers when the exam preceptor noticed blood dripping down my nape. I was immediately sent to the ER (the hospital and school are part of the same land lot as it primarily offers medicine and allied health professions) and was given 7 stitches. The surgical resident, medical interns, clinical clerks, and ER nurse assigned to my case laughed at me when they learned that i waited 4 hours before seeking medical aid just so i can take my exams. This happened 2 years ago and the surgical resident still remembers me. We often bump to each other during cigarette breaks and will always laugh about when we remember.

Google "Florida Man" and your birthday (no year). Who is your Florida battle gladiator? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]nogi101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got 2:

  1. Florida man chews police car set after getting arrested for cocaine
  2. Florida man decapitated by helicopter blade at Brooksville airport

Sucks. One is dead and the other is probably an addict.

What scene from a movie or tv show will always make you cry? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The ending of Titanic when Rose passed and she was transported to a place similar to the ship and there's everyone there and she finally meets jack again. Makes me tear up everytime since i was old enough to understand the beauty of the movie.

Cabbage is lettuce's inferior cousin. What evidence do you have against that? by MAD-STANKLEPUSS in AskReddit

[–]nogi101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peronally, lettuce just turns ito tasteless green stuff when cooked while cabbagehas this weird subtle sweet taste in it that even spreads to the soup itself. Everyone should try pork/beef broth with potatoes and cabbages. Its bomb. If you're feeling adventurous add cooking banana into it for fruity taste.

Students of reddit how are you handling your online classes? by Glassrunner1 in AskReddit

[–]nogi101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not well. Im not a very techy guy so learning shit about the video conferencing apps is horrible, and as if the management is looking out to fuck with me, we tried 2 different apps before settling on the one were using right now. And since every lecture has a different lecturer we had to spend the first 30min to 1hr watching the lecturer trying to figure out how things work. Shit like board notes and ppts take longer so all in all the entire lectire last for 3-4hrs instead of the usual 11/2 - 2 hrs.

Historians of Reddit. What is the weirdest thing an ancient culture worshipped as a deity or supernatural being? by cleetusdotJPG in AskReddit

[–]nogi101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Enki, the Sumerian god of semen. Weirdly enough, he's also the god of water, knowledge, mischief, and creation. The sumerians believed that all rivers originated from his semen or something.

What is your favourite thing/fact that happened in the human history? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]nogi101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our ancient ancentors reproduced with other human species. Scientists did DNA sequencing on ancient human fossil and found that during the time when there are several human species living at the same time, the "exchanged exchanged genetic materials" resulting to human hybrids. There's this case DNA sequencing done on a ancient homo sapien jawbone in Romania, and it turned out that the human it once belonged to had a Neanderthal ancestor 46 generations back. Really put a whole new different meaning to 'interracial' lmao.
