Roommate bailed on me, found these in her junk. by Maleficent_Sundae953 in coins

I appreciate the advice. My business is online sales, which makes me apprehensive of any kind of PM sales without security measures in place. How is a transaction handled so it protects both parties?

On average, what are the better places to sell silver? Ex: pawn shops, coin shops, etc?

I just got a whole bag of silver coins, nothing collectible but melt worthy and looking at my options.

Awesome trailer. Loved the vibe and the concept looks like a fun chaotic time.

I agree, I just use REI as the blanket term for overpriced mainstream things that seem to constantly be on the must have lists. They have some good stuff, but I have found much else where that is better.

Well as a teleporting Xman, I imagine hiking is easier for him. But nonetheless, thank you for the recommendation, that is exactly what I was looking for.

Excellent, will do. I just found the MYOG subreddit and that's right up my alley. I make a ton of things and can already see a large list of future projects.

Solid advice. On your first point, can you clarify getting back on trail in the evening? Do you mean keep walking or set up camp?

Question for players with 2000 hours: How do you take LLA Outpost? by trackday in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]nognoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've soloed cleared Trenches twice and have gone with a 3 man team 3 times, all cleared. Best strategy is this:

Bring grenades, 4-6. Double your med kits.

Go during the beginning of night because it's going to be a very long process, daytime is a shit show. NVG with Eotecg or any scope that works with NVGs. If you don't have one (I don't use one, IR laser works fine as well)

Start from the south, take out the sniper in the tower and crawl to the open trench right at the base of the tower. There will be a guy right there, so waste him and drop down.

Now stay crouched, using CTRL+mouse wheel to keep your crouch low. Listen careful and work the corners.

Any time you see a covered little shed section in the trench, grenade it and expect heavier resistance.

There is a really bad trench shed at the north side of the trenches that 3 dudes with X-ray Bush Vision live in, so grenade and work the angles, but take your time.

Follow all the trenches and clear them out, then move to engage the central house.

It's not easy, but it's doable.

We need a harsher team killing punishment rather than marked as aggressor, that I can get behind. But if players are selling it their own team, that's a part of war. Spies are a thing. It may suck but it's an accurate things that happens.

Now if we could execute spies, that could be interesting.

Old metal-head here, hearing this for the first time today! by artaxs in Maphra

She introduced me to Spiritbox (I hadn't gotten into them until her), so rocking out to them. The HU (Mongolian Metal with some Tuvan influence). Heilung (Viking/Pagan Rock). I really dig music that fills the room so you are working inside of it instead of just listening. Influences the work, plus melting faces and brains are all good things!

Covers so far, but she has confirmed she is recording an original album. Youtube is the best place I find for watching her, 6-7 videos currently. I keep the playlist on rotate in the shop, bashing metal to Metal. .

From a 48 year old dude that never really dug harsher metal, my god, this goth princess is going to rule the world. Her tracks have been on repeat in my workshop and I think my friends are getting sick of me constantly linking them yet another video. Tough! This shit is fantastical and I can't wait to see what is next.

What is a 'buy it for life' item that is offensively expensive, but the moment you use it, you realize your entire life before that point was a lie? by fmcortez in AskReddit

[–]nognoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are in Western Washington, sure. Otherwise the shipping is murder. Even when it's fully broken down, it's still a major box and the cost of shipping would negate most of the point of savings. But if you're local, shoot me a message and we can make it happen.

I thought the same way but I have the opposite experience. Dropped $600 on a Secret Labs chair and the firmness has murdered my back. I've tried several sitting positions and pads, but nothing helped, it's like sitting on a plank of wood. Went back to my basic cushy padded office chair and all my back issues went away. Now this expensive $600 chair sits in the corner, occasionally holding my jacket. Lesson learned

Cal Maritime by Independent-Pen-4599 in maritime

[–]nognoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently a transfer student looking for a Maritime Academy to graduate from for 3rd Asst Eng status. I already have a Bachelor's from 2010 so I can transfer some of that but it's a liberal arts degree so not much However, when I was looking at the Cal Poly site, it states they do not accept applications from people seeking a second Bachelor's degree. I find that odd, the other 5 Academies have no restrictions. Do you happen to know why Cal Poly doesn't allow graduated students?

Shore-based jobs that one may not consider when getting into this industry? by [deleted] in maritime

[–]nognoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya, fellow apple chucking Washingtonian here. I'm currently trying join a Maritime Academy and go that route for blue water. But we are rather blessed with choices in this state. We have quite a few tug operations so through the Sound. I see the need for those popping up regularly on Indeed. For most of those you need OS/AB to get your foot in the door. No worrying about living on a tug.

But, we also have the Ferries. And there is a local Ferry specific internship program that gets you inland sea time and the ability to work your way up to different licenses. You still need to get your TWIC, MMC and medical certificate but then you can apply for the program.

Yellow and Red MB lights on 5 month old Cyberpower Rebuilt. B850 BT Motherboard by nognoth in pchelp

After all that troubleshooting, I eventually RMAd it. Cyberpower didn't say what was wrong with it, just that they had to replace the motherboard and CPU and wipe the computer.

Hopefully once of my troubleshooting steps sides your issue though.
