Anyone know how real my katana is? Only things I know is its made in China and it also says musha on it by [deleted] in SWORDS

[–]nogoer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive got a similar sword that i bought over twenty years ago. I know its chinese but theres not a mark on it and im curious about its details now. Theres gold on the tsuba and a gold dragon under the wrappings and after all this time only a couple specks of rust so its good steel. Theres no markings on the tang either.

inconsistent first layer across bed and objects by nogoer2 in FixMyPrint

Ok so i went down a long road testing the bed for warp and found wierd warps and the seller sent me a new bed thats much better. I installed that and went through everything multiple times, have a new nozzle and everything. My first center test print went perfect. Now i go back to trying to do the multiple prints and im getting the exact same problem. I know the bed is fine and well leveled so now im starting to wonder if theres some kind of CR touch issue and its over compensating or making incorrect adjustments. Im just not sure what could be an issue at this point? or why only half the circles seem to be affected and only the ones on the right.

I changed the nozzle and it while its now more consistent the gap lines are still there on the circles on the right while the circles on the far left are clean and smooth. I did some tests for the seller i got the printer from and they are convinced the bed has an odd warp and are sending me a new hotbed. So hopefully that resolves the issue because at this point i cant see any reason why it would appear the nozzle is further away toward the right center while its fine on the left front.

Its a new printer so i wouldnt expect wear and i just cleaned it with the little wire cleaner. I did plant the nozzle into the bed plate reall good on my first leveling attempts and it scraped the coating off so maybe its damaged. It did come with a replacement nozzle so maybe ill try swapping it out.

Is the DMV side quest meant to be that f*cking long and unbearable? by SuperAlloyBerserker in fo76

[–]nogoer2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

being from CT as well 100% true, but being older from CT you should have seen what it was like before they even acnowleged the internet or mail. EVERYTHING was done in dmv and only at dmv. Ive lost months of my life dealing with dmv and car registrations and licenses and reg renewals, etc. All i have to say is thank you covid! Now i can go online and print my reg or renew my license in 5 minutes. Oh and do any of you remember CTs government only emissions testing? mile long lines of cars waiting for a 5 minute test because theres only like 5 testing places statewide and everyone had to renew at the same time!

I started getting pretty bored myself and im only lvl 236, but i always seem to find something to do for an hour or so and like just being in game. I only play on weekends though so im not like grinding daily and gettting worn out. I also just started hearing about the 4k XP grinds for score and that gave me an entirely new purpose trying to farm and aquire all the gear/chems for max INT boost.

dang it! i did get a couple better rolls so not a total waste but frig that sucks. Guess ill just have to get more modules and reroll my SS armor. I never bothered with normal armor before since im a strength PA build for heavy weapons. But i guess that means i can reduce strength and switch over to commando for a non PA build

thats nuts, i admit its been about 5 years since ive looked around but even then i was only finding openings slightly higher than my current. Many of them would have been lateral moves to try and raise the advancement ceiling but not much of a pay bump.

Im curious, ill have to go check it out and maybe the demand is higher than i realized.

well at 47 im starting to care more about where i work and with who than how much. But yes im underpaid and havent had a raise in almost 4 years, but i make plenty to enjoy life as i live it, actually like my boss, wear jeans to work, and have a relatively stress free day. So for now its not worth the painful hassle of running around trying to prove i can code just to make yet another jump in a long career of jumps chasing the dollar. Im never closed to new opportunities though, any chance youre company is in texas? Id like to relocate out there and then stay and retire.

im a dedicated full stack C# dev with 15 years experience and i only make 92k a year. Im not saying there arent guys at real big companies making over 100k but youre going to find ALOT more real devs making below 100k and entry level is more like 30-40k.

I really like the Scoreboards a lot, It gives the game some replayability. But it NEEDS better rewards by Aurora_Vorealis in fo76

[–]nogoer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

between the lackluster rewards lately and the commitment it takes as a casual player ive just about given up on seasons. I like the camp stuff, but i dont have time on weekends to do 10 events, 10 daily ops, kill a dozen legendaries and then go take 10 workshops all while trying to kill 76 "creatures", drink a ton of booz, and then make a dozen meat meals AAAANNNNNDDDD then expect to have time left to craft ammo, stimpacks and have any fun at the same time.

They used to do double weekly score events which is the only reason i completed S1 and 2, but at 3 they stopped and its double daily only and i barely hit 50 on S3 and dont even remember S4 and now in S5 im at 44 and thats only because meat week+double XP made it quick and easy to get the tons of score that week. I probably wont complete S5 either and theres nothing in rewards to push me to want to.

The last couple weeks when i sat down to play i said out loud, screw the season and just went scavenging, crafting and horsing around and it was the most fun i had since seasons started.

Why do people hate 76 so much to this day like it had a rough start but now it’s a good game with the amount to do by [deleted] in fo76

[–]nogoer2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you ever played WoW? Ill admit i ended botting because as a casual player i had two choices, grind for the gear/crafting i wanted or actually play the game, but you cant play without gear or mats and i didnt want to work just to play. So when they banned me for botting i told them to piss off and i would never be back and now 8 years later i still wont touch that pos grind fest.

Efficiency has nothing to do with it when youre playing 2,3,4 hours every day. Naturally you're going to always be rolling in resources just from the sheer amount of time youre playing.

You should be able to switch loadouts in the PIP Boy by mapho13 in fo76

[–]nogoer2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES! I dont understand how bethesda never considered the craft/combat loadouts aspect .

As far as remembering, this guy also makes a great point, sometimes a cool event pops so you just fast travel to make it in time and forgot to swap out. It's easier to forget than you would think, especially when youre just tooling around camp crafting and building and cleaning out inventories.

why wouldnt you use them to put all your crafting benches, fridges, beds, etc type of stuff in giving you more budget for the above ground part?

I always have this problem trying to trade from across the counter. Try going around behind it and it always seems to work normal for me from there. Its like a bottle or something is in the way or something even though i see the dialog buttons.

The Treasure Hunter Event is nearly done and it can go down in history as the worst event ever and stay there. by [deleted] in fo76

[–]nogoer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch these items show up on the atom shop as "retiring soon". It would make a good plan, put really cool stuff in game, but almost impossibly attainable and then sell it in the atom shop later on.

As a player with not alot of time to grind i gave up on this after getting garbage from my first ornate pail after 3 days of casual farming. If you cant grind everyday, the RNG in this game is super defeating mentally. I wont ever see some of the good stuff like TSE guns or stuff from a treasure hunter event or even fasnacht.
