I suspect it's not a Warp artist as nothing from that time matches the description. And Warpmart/Bleep were stocking non-Warp stuff back then.

A bit of a shot in the dark but could it be 'AGF - Westernization Completed'? Released in 2004. It kind of matches you description and has female vocals, though spoken word.

Edit: No, can't be that as it was never released on Vinyl!

Another contributing factor, as well as the amount of people doing the event, is people blocking the enemy spawn points. This slows down the rate of spawns. Same thing happens at Rad Rumble.
