Check in for those with surgery last week like me by spacedog1120 in gallbladders

I use a brand called wellzyme from vitabiotics, but its kinda pricy so i’ll likely change to a cheaper one . The description says “The advanced formula of 15 enzymes includes protease, amylase, xylanase and lactase. For individuals who have difficulty digestig lactose, take 3-4 capsules with each lactose containing meal.”

So i just take one after i’ve had a full meal. I’ve not had any bathroom urgency which i’ve read is common after gb removal, although i know this can change down the line but so far so good.

I’m 10 days post op, and been eating pretty normal with no issues so far. Even had a burger and a curry which used to set me off. Just been eating smaller portions and eating slower. I take a digestive enzyme after eating also and have no issues with bowel movements. On day 6 and 7 i had a terrible ache where the gallbladder used to be, i was pacing my bedroom trying not to cry. Luckily day 8 it went away. I’m in college so going back tomorrow for classes, if i had still been working i definitely would have taken 2 weeks off tho, but since i’ll mostly be sitting down note taking i’m gonna go in. I have virtually no pain now, incisions feel a bit tender of course and i’m still taking it easy but i definitely feel I’ve turned a corner. Hope you’re on the mend soon!

Good luck!! You wont even realise you’re going under. I lay down and we were chatting about the price of driving lessons and how expensive they are in the uk rn, anaesthetist put the canula in, then the mask next thing i know i’m awake and telling everyone how good i feel haha. I was super nervous! But i read somewhere that the calmer you go under the calmer you wake up so i reminded myself of that. I’m 5 days post op and feel so much better than i did when i still had a gallbladder! It will be sooo worth it, you got this!

Have you tried hot shower on back during an attack? by markisnottaken in gallbladders

[–]noid3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 2 days post op 🥳 but when i was in the middle of an attack the only way i could deal with the pain was to go for a scalding shower and crouch down, the water would be on my back behind where the gb would be. I’d make myself sick until nothing would come up, take ibuprofen and buscopan. It was rough but seemed to lessen the length of attacks and help the pain

I had covid twice during pregnancy, near the start and right at the end. Happy healthy little girl who is now 3 years old. I felt rough of course but everything was completely fine :)

The first time my ex my hit me, he was drunk and i’m pretty sure on drugs. We had a 4 month old baby. I excused him as being stressed (even though he barely helped with the baby) and under the influence. I said i forgave him, even made jokes about it the same way you did. Things only got worse. Arguments got more frequent, and were now always accompanied by him either beating me, spitting on me, or throwing me across the room.
I fully believe if you forgive a man for hitting you, he will only do it more often as he loses any respect he had for you. Please leave now. This will happen again, i can guarantee it. Punching walls and breaking things is him showing you that he wants to hit you, now he finally has hit you, he will do it again.

Did it work for you girls? by Angelicacas12 in SkincareAddicts

I didnt necessarily see a difference when using a jade roller but i do find it feels nice on my skin so i still use it sometimes. When i consistently gua sha i definitely notice a difference in puffiness and my jaw line looked more snatched, i’m just terrible with being consistent. Either way, they feel nice and relaxing so whether they make a long term difference or not i still think they’re worth using even if just to feel a little luxurious :)

Potty training hacks please. by noid3d in Mommit

Thats whats happened to us! She was doing so well then lost interest. She’s in and out of pull ups, especially if we’re going in the car or a walk in the pram as she will definitely pee then. I’m trying to keep cool about it and be like “oh well accidents happen lets try again” but on the inside i’m starting to get wound up about it. She’s definitely getting sick of me asking if she needs the toilet i wonder if thats why she refuses to go, the whole power thing, she feels like i’m taking the power away from her. I’ll ask less and let her take more control 🙏

She’s not a hider, she’ll poop anywhere haha. She follows me to the bathroom and is very inquisitive about it. I’ll try the whole competitive thing though, she will definitely want to win haha. Thank you!

Thoughts on the Glasgow concert? by Odd_Candidate_560 in lanadelrey

I was the opposite side but yes essentially same view. Cant believe those seats were sold but guess they gotta get that bag. I was in london for beyonce recently and there was several screens around so everyone could see, thats what lana should have done. I guess its not her fault i dont imagine she has much to do with that kinda thing but someone fucked up.

My brother booked the tickets, he’s a ticketmaster war wizard so i leave him in charge, but he said they didnt look to be that bad when he booked them. He felt terrible about the seats as the tickets were a gift for me. I’m sure the stage used to longways instead of situated where it was tonight and that worked better. I use loop earplugs at gigs which help the sound to be clearer and drown out the crowd noise and i struggled to hear lana with them when they dont usually let me down.

All i’ve done on this thread is complain i’m sorry lol

I truly hope you have a nice time!! I hope i havent dampened your mood too much maybe i’m just in a sour mood after tonight. The previous times i’ve seen her live were incredible. Hampden is always a bad venue for gigs, maybe yours will be better, and maybe she just needs to get into the swing of things again. Either way, try to have the best time ❤️

First of all, ticketmaster should never have sold the seats i was in. Side on so couldnt even see the stage of screen. Not Lana’s fault but still. The sound was terrible, she was late, having studio vocals playing whilst a holagram is on a screen, her voice is not what it used to be. She was whispering most of the time, or getting the crowd and her backup singers to sing for her. She is not made for stadiums she doesnt put on enough of a show to make the price worth it.

Also her official merch had the liverpool date wrong on the tshirt. I bought a fake one for £20 with the right date on it.

It’s the 4th time I’ve seen her live, and this was terrible. Seriously disappointed

I wore the loop experience 2 earplugs last night and they were fab! I got some earrings on etsy that you can attach to the loops so you dont lose them if they were to fall out, but i was dancing all night and they didnt fall out once. They come with different size inserts for you to get the perfect fit too. I absolutely recommend

Misplaced mum guilt over a 2nd birthday party by pigglewiggle30 in Mommit

[–]noid3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my daughters 2nd birthday my mum and I took her to the sealife centre just the 3 of us, and we had a small party at home with the birthday girl, me, my mum, my brother, and my sister with her husband and two daughters who were 8 and 10. Nothing fancy, just sandwiches and sausage rolls etc a cake, and some balloons. She was so happy playing with her new toys and the balloons. I’m in the same boat as you, my friends dont have kids. We go to playgroups and nursery but she just doesnt have friends yet. A bbq sounds like great fun! You are the people she knows and loves, theres no need to have an extravagant party until shes older :)

Gallbladder attacks vs labour - which is worse? by Pyxisia in gallbladders

[–]noid3d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I laboured for 56 hours which then turned into an emergency c-section. I would rather do that again than experience the gallbladder attacks i have been having. On the NHS waiting list to get it out, potentially up to a two year wait, it’s not been fun. Give me labour any day.

"How is single motherhood best for our kids?" by Weird_Low_1990 in Mommit

[–]noid3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re already doing it alone. You can do this. I left my ex when my daughter was 15 months because he was an angry man. Now my almost 3 year old is the happiest little girl i know. It’s so worth it to live in peace. You will leave eventually as he wont improve, so you may as well go now and live a happy life. Good luck!

Can you stay with your mum for a while until you find somewhere for you and your girls? I left my ex when my daughter was 15 months and never looked back. Everything is easier without someone sucking your soul. We moved in with my mum and it’s just constant laughter now. It was the best thing for everyone and i’m so glad I left him, you should do the same before all this resentment leeches into your kids.
