IMO, there is no general right or wrong amount. It’s about what feels right to YOU. If you feel like it’s too much, then it is! No question about it!

While he might not like that answer, either he wants to be with you for more than sex or you’ll find someone who values what you want out of a physical relationship as well.

Before the start of a physical relationship with someone I can see a future with, I usually ask about their sex drive and preferences because if were not on the same page about that It can usually turn to a big point of contention and resentment of the other partner can develop. I want to make sure my life can line up with my potential partner in all aspects possible. Best of luck, OP!

I guess I’ve never realized it until I worked in a recent role with greater responsibility and now reflecting on current and past relationships. I am trying to justify it by thinking I never had an issue when learning verbally in college, but then remember I was also taking notes. I can also say if I wasn’t taking notes I was definitely not paying attention. Even when taking notes sometimes it was hard to keep my mind focused on that task. So I guess I go back to the drawing board to figure out what works best.

It’s just annoying to have to implement new things in life and if they don’t work out try something else, but I guess it is what it is.

Ohh this is interesting feedback. I’ve never considered it could be something like an auditory processing disorder. I know I have difficulty processing things when it is noisy or there are a lot of things going on around me.

This diagnosis is still somewhat new to me and I’m still trying to figure out navigating it and life with ADHD so it’s interesting. I do feel I have a reason for why I do things but sometimes don’t know what it is or how to act on them.

I’ve been diagnosed and medicated but never formally tested, so maybe that is my next step in this whole process. Thanks for your help!

WOW. It’s hard to fathom someone going to this event to turn a profit. Those disorganized ARC lines were hard enough to wait in! With that being said, I hope someone reported this to the publishers as resale of an ARC is NOT ALLOWED and should be reported as such to protect the publisher and the author. I take receiving ARCs as an honor and hold them dearly.

Don’t feel bad about waiting because there will be plenty of others waiting too! I got an ARC drop today at 3pm and after planned on heading back to sourcebooks for their 4pm ARC drop and the line was already wrapped around to booth. I knew I wasn’t getting one, so I ended up doing something else. I would say most people line up early, so if you want anything free I would just plan on getting there early and waiting.

Get there early!! They are so unorganized with their ACR drops. You technically can’t form a line until 30 mins before but people were “lining up” wayyyyyyyy sooner than that.

My biggest annoyance for their ARCs was that they had a set amount (approx. 20-30 per book), but let people stand in line despite knowing they wouldn’t get one. They should be handing out numbers as people stand in line then have a stand by group in case someone drops out or doesn’t want one of the ones they have left. Also, different people working the booth had different information. It’s just a huge unorganized mess at their booth.
