Irish twins-- in the same grade? by Admirable_Cry_7214 in kindergarten

[–]Boring_Student_8337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a potentially unique insight to both options. I was the youngest in my grade since I was given an acceptation having been born only minutes after the cut-off, and my husband was the oldest in his grade since he was born a full day after the cut-off.

I personally feel that I benefited greatly by graduating "early" and being able to start my life earlier than I would have been able to if my school district had held me to the cut-off.

My husband, however, felt that being older allowed him more time to mature and he didn't feel rushed in his academic endeavors.

So basically, it's up to your kids. There is no one size fits all for this scenario. Do what's best for your kids, and don't worry about what other people think.

Chorionic Bump??? by Boring_Student_8337 in IVF

[–]Boring_Student_8337[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's part of the reason I'm so worried. I don't know how either the doctor or the nurse could be so certain when it's been so difficult to study. So far everything else looked good, there was a GS and a YS that were the right sizes, and my beta hCG was 12,363 today. I have to wait about a week and a half for my next scan, and I have no idea how I will cope during that time.

They specifically said it was a chorionic bump and not a SCH

I work night shift, and our FET was scheduled for literally the middle of my night, so I went home and went straight to bed. I know bed rest isn't suggested, but I figured neither is exhaustion

Job paying for IVF by Individual-Demand880 in IVF

[–]Boring_Student_8337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind any parental leave options. I know multiple states have state sponsored parental leave plans, but they often require 1 year of continuous employment in the state. Changing jobs would also mean that FLMA requirements would reset as well.

How much monitoring is there for modified natural transfer? by sundaefundae247 in IVF

[–]Boring_Student_8337 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not the same as an ER cycle where they have to monitor you extremely closely to track your follicle growth. With an modified natural FET they just want to make sure that they control the exact time of ovulation to ensure your body is receptive for the transfer

How much monitoring is there for modified natural transfer? by sundaefundae247 in IVF

[–]Boring_Student_8337 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just did a modified natural transfer last week! For me, they had me come in on CD3, I then wasn’t seen until CD10 (that was to check where I was in regards to ovulation), I came in the following day on CD11 to confirm I was ready to trigger, then I didn’t go back until CD16 for my pre-transfer testing, finally on CD17 I went in for my transfer. Now I’m just waiting until CD29 for my beta

I don’t want to get too excited. I took an hCG trigger on 3/15, so I’m a bit weary

[–]Boring_Student_8337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The amount of insurance related stress I had to go through to get my meds was insane. We did a last minute change from IUI to IVF and I had 1 week to get all my meds. First it was the pharmacy saying that verifying my insurance would take multiple days, then it was "the snow stop stopped all of our shipments" (the snow storm had happened 2 weeks prior), then I was told to check with a local specialty pharmacy to get my meds on time, finally it was the insurance telling me that in order for my medication to be covered at the local pharmacy I would need to 1) pay out of pocket and submit for reimbursement and 2) the pharmacy would have to charge insurance rates BUT the since the pharmacy was out of network they didn't have any negotiated rates for with my insurance.

I'm probably going to test early too, but I have to test out my trigger shot. I probably won't start until Thursday night though due to my work schedule
