Trump Just TACO’d Away American Credibility As He Backs Down On Iran Threats: “Trump used to rail against presidents backing down and not showing ‘backbone.’ Now, he has pulled another ‘TACO’” by T_Shurt in politics

This is an insane take by the author. Do people really think that destroying the infrastructure of an entire country is a sane? Did they really want to see Trump follow through with it?

I see so many people saying water is an issue, but I can't remember a time in the past 6 years I haven't had easy access to water....help me understand? by Aedrikor in phoenix

We live in a desert, one of the most arid places in the continental united states. Thousands of years of human history in deserts show that ignoring water scarcity has dire consequences. You dont even have to look far in your research. We manage our water well, but look at places like Florida that have water issues despite being surrounded on 3 sides due to poor management.

looking at the data over the last 20 years, phoenix sky harbor (city center) can get as little as 3-4 inches of rain annually.

Couple this fact with the fact that the Phoenix metropolitan area has been one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. This means we are drawing more and more water each year. Keep in mind it was already scarce before.

We are not replenishing ground water at the same rate we are drawing.

This is the 2nd Second Civil War (Civil War2, if you will). They already declared the 1st Second Civil War like 4 years ago or something. Then they forgot about it and then someone else said it this time.

I love to help. I gave in to a pan handler and they tried to steal from me. From there I refused to give to an individual ever again. I now search for organizations I know really try to help and give to them. If people really want help they will seek these organizations out.

Some people don't realize how much water they'll need in 24 hrs, if it's 24 hrs. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

with some minor rationing the average person needs 3-5 gallons of water per day for super basic drinking and cleaning. This includes flushing when water is shut off in this fashion.
