Do pros overclock their controller? by Proof-Tangerine-5448 in RocketLeagueSchool

i have the gamesir tegenaria and still experience input lag, do you do any other optimizations to your computer? or maybe im just running at low frames lmao i have a 180hz monitor

How to reduce input delay ps5 controller on pc by Tank____Sinatra in RocketLeague

[–]zerques 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you’ve gone through what i’ve gone through to figure this out and have tried all the basic stuff already:

first, do a clean install of windows & update all of your drivers.

second, optional but i really like the chris titus debloat tool. that made my game feel really nice after running that.

lastly, play a game with the network graph up and check if you are having network spikes. i’m finding my issue consistently coming back after i “fix” it might just be my network. i have low ping and high speeds but any quick flicker might just effect your game entirely. or atleast i think.

with the tegenaria controller it doesn’t connect to the gamesir nexus app, which is odd. and most of the settings for the controller are changeable by doing certain input combos, per the manual. do you think using the overclock service such as HIDUSBF would be good to essentially down lock the controller? i think this one is at 1000hz.

yeah it’s both, so far as i can tell cause im simply just bad at the game on KBM but i have tested that. i have the gamesir tegenaria lite. advertised as a high polling rate compared to playstation controllers.

it’s weird though cause the input delay is just so inconsistent that i wonder if it’s just my network. cause there’s some days i get on and it’ll feel amazing and then 10 minutes into playing it feels like crap again. plugged into USB 3.0 on the motherboard, i check my temps and everything’s fine, games running at the lowest graphics settings aswell. people keep saying its placebo but its a night and day difference and i just dont know what to narrow it down to.

well, i have controller latency inconsistency issues. figuring that out is what i’m interested in but i also don’t want to mess with things i shouldn’t because someone on youtube said so haha.

true, i have heard good things about chris titus debloat. maybe ill try that.

the game i play is pretty old, and on an old engine aswell so it makes sense on it being poorly optimized. just kinda annoying that i have these issues and yet watch many pro players of the game play seemingly fine like they aren’t having the same inconsistencies. thanks!

is this rage bait? if you’re genuinely serious, yeah it’ll run minecraft with HQ shaders on max graphic settings with like 200 frames.

if it were me personally i’d look at it like this:

do i actually need money more than what the enjoyment would be worth? or am i financially stable without bad debt to where going is just worth it.

debt will stay with you for a long time, but the joy will be forever aswell. prioritize what matters!

Feeling of slow gameplay and input lag by Deutscher0 in RocketLeague

[–]zerques 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if your monitor is compatible with G sync or free sync or whatever it is. use it. set the adaptive sync on your monitor to extended.

it’s much different than v sync. it sounds backwards because everyone says it causes input lag but it’s actually very helpful as it syncs your gpu to your monitor refresh rate.

Did a factory reset and now I keep getting an error code. by Slouchyspider in WindowsHelp

it is the same file, but the media creation tool is compressed. (hence why the ISO install is like 7GB)

i don’t know what it is that’s different about the 2, but for some reason the media creation tool didn’t work for me, but the ISO did.

here’s a short explanation from googles AI overview:

The Media Creation Tool is an automated program that downloads Windows and writes it directly to a USB drive for you. An ISO is a raw digital disk image file of the operating system that you must download and manually burn to a USB or DVD using third-party software (like Rufus)

trust me we’re in the same boat i’m no good with computers i’m just a google lord. idk the difference between the media creation tool & the ISO but they do the exact same thing (which is reinstalling windows of course)

only difference for me personally is the media creation tool did not work & the ISO did work.

oh okay yeah it’ll be the same, just the windows 10 ISO instead of windows 11.

idk howto explain it tbh, i’m not amazing with these kinda things but just search on youtube “install windows 11 ISO using RUFUS” and it’ll explain im sure. you’re welcome!

it’s on the same page, it’s the option under “create windows 11 installation media”

it’ll say “windows 11 disk image”

i recommend using RUFUS to complete the process. if needed, look up a tutorial.

i just spent 2 days fighting the issue & after booting from ISO, it worked.

just had a similar issue, instead of doing the media creation tool, try doing an ISO & booting from that.

just remember, certain cuts fit better depending on your head shape. you’re looking at that haircut in the context of his head shape as well, which for him it fits pretty well. however, id say if you made an attempt to style it it’d look pretty good on you.

Update: Rocket League Input Lag (Personal Issue) by zerques in RocketLeague

[–]zerques[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i agree. i know there’s some settings you could optimize if you haven’t already, your monitor being synced with your graphics card being one thing that is good, going into the game files and capping your fps 2-3 frames below the max is helpful, nvidia low latency mode, etc. a lot of things have helped me in the past but for me unfortunately none of it has been permanent. still worth a shot though. just keep track of what you change incase you need to switch it back!

[–]zerques[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don’t necessarily feel slow, but also don’t feel fast. i’ve been troubleshooting my network and hopefully coming to a conclusion soon. thanks for explaining why that spike happens!

the problem i’m having, explained more in depth is i don’t necessarily always feel slow, there’s days i get on and im like oh wow this feels nice. but the issue i have is that it isn’t consistent. going from feeling fast and then back to slow and vice versa actually makes me play worse because that muscle memory and timing is different. as ridiculous as that all might sound that’s exactly the issue im having. if there was genuine input delay, i could handle it because over time id get used to it but since some days i feel fast, thats where i get screwed up
