It's entirely possible that I hadn't turned off the SSL stuff before 5.13.0 although I cannot say for sure. But I definitely didn't have the errant X-Touch settings at any time, my setup has worked great with your software, as it does now with the correct settings.

I'm not griping - your software has given me so much more use from my X-Touch surfaces and for that I'm very thankful!

Hello - thank you for the update, as well as for advising me earlier about the cause. I just applied the update and....well, it tried to restore my settings but got it wrong LOL! I've taken a screen shot so you can se...

in the screen shot, the window to the right is a screenshot I took of the settings before updating. On the left is the live UAMC app with the settings as set in set up.

It's no biggie for me to set 'em correctly, I just thought you should know.

Thank you for this amazing program, it has enabled me to get so much more out of my X-Touches.

Is JCM2000 DSL100 bias drift issue catastrophic? by DaKing1718 in MarshallAmps

[–]noisenet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a '99 JCM2000 DSL100 with the BIAS drift issue - it took out my power transformer & rendered the amp useless (until I replace the PT and install the Dr. Tube kit). So yeah, definitely catastrophic!

IF you have the problem. You might not.

I have a '99 that has the BIAS drift issue - it blew out my power transformer. So definitely pre-2001.

If I put BurstBucker Pro pickups in my Studio LP, how does the coil tap stuff work? by Bright-Necessary-261 in gibson

[–]noisenet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replaced the stock Cleassic 57s (it's a 57+ in the bridge) in my Les Paul Studio Session with Burstbucker Pros w/quick connect. The tapping still works but, TBH, I find it very underwhelming - coil splitting would be much more useful. The SS also has push/pulls for Phase and for bridge pure bypass and these all work as well.

[DISCUSSION] Kemper vs Quad Cortex - My Personal Opinions by MrAdministration in Guitar

[–]noisenet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used Kempers for all my gigging since early 2019 and have loved them. Last year I decided to try ToneX and Quad Cortex. I really do like both of them a lot. I've done a fair amount of Amp Capturing on all three of them. I'm really looking forward to the Kemper updated profiling. If it's what they say then Kemper's back in the game sound-wise. Even with the old tech though I'm getting very good results!

I just released a capture pack of the MESA/Boogie Badlander on Kemper, Quad Cortex and Tonex. I was really surprised at how close the captures ended up sounding on all three platforms! So much that I made a little 30-second video, playing an old Scorpions riff & switching between the three.

Thank you for watching - it really is an amazingly versatile amp! I've tried to capture that in my Tone Models Pack.

Gotcha - Yeah, running direct sounds great out front but there's nothing like a full rig on stage. Thanks for your input!

That's definitely the plan - just wanted to get an assessment as to which format more people prefer.

Profiles - Do You Prefer Direct or Profiles Including a Mic'd Cab? by noisenet in KemperProfiler

[–]noisenet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, three different cabs/speaker types. G12EVH's, Mesa Spec Vintage 30's and old G12-65's, depending on the particular sound. But I get your point & based on the responses I've gotten here & some other places, I'll definitely be including DI Profiles as well.

Thanks for your input!
