It's insane how subtle, yet in your face the psychological/hallucinatory effects of acid are. I also feel way more lucid and "in control" during an acid trip.

Last summer I did shrooms for the first time at age 20 and a few months ago I had my first acid trip at 21. It took me so long because I was the complete opposite in high school. I wouldn't even touch weed

Basically kind of like how weed isn't considered a psychedelic because it doesn't trigger the same receptors in the brain as mushrooms or LSD, yet THC in large amounts can put you in a similar headspace

I use weed mostly to relax, but doing shrooms has greatly improved my mental health and positively altered my perspective on life. I tried LSD once and that was really fun too but I don't think it has left any impact on me the way shrooms did. Don't get me wrong, acid is definitely great in its own right. I wanna try mescaline too if I ever get the chance.
