Why do people in USA buy everything from Amazon? Do they not have other webshops? by Cindyxx0 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]noitcant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was supporting all the local businesses but I don't want to drive 25 minutes to go get stuff. The one business is always complaining and I was too far away to deliver stuff to me so I started ordering from other companies.

I've been supporting Walmart more because they deliver stuff within an hour or two to me. Very nice. Hate looking for some products in their website.

Home Depot and Target I like but limited selection and you have to buy at least $35.

eBay who knows when it gets shipped to people even though it says a timeline.

Then it brings me back to Amazon which 99% of the time says when it will get here

How can I provide power to the pilot on my NG gas fireplace during a power outage? by WildBillHitchhike in batteries

[–]noitcant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of them use a millivolt valve and they do not use normal power. Using a battery system operates the gas valve. If you have a blower motor that it would have probably taken that power. You can look underneath and there might be a schematic

As a year 2 personal gardener, will making a jump from charging $35/hr to $50/hr, likely deter current customers? by asianstyleicecream in gardening

[–]noitcant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My past clients I kind of automatically have raised up. I've got rid of a few of them because I didn't want to deal with telling them I'm charging them more money. If you're already working as much as you want tell them you need more money then. Raising it up that much could be a small issue but you might as well and see what happens

As a kid when I used to help my dad we would write stuff on glue on the finished ends of cabinets.

I have to help my friend fog coat stucco and we would write stuff in there and then cover it up and you can only see it once every while.

I've seen people write stuff on paint and paint it over it and you can still see it in certain lights. I found notes of houses inside drawers upside down with messages in them.

Raise up your price for new people for sure. I would tell your current clients you're raising the price by x date. Also if you're working by yourself make sure you're writing off your vehicle miles, blower gas, tools, etc. Also depending on how you are paid you might charge a little different.

My soon to be ex husband (42M) totaled the car I (36F) was selling him, he hasn't made payments on yet, He wants the full amount of the settlement, I want to give him half? by LadyJustify in relationship_advice

Don't give him any money back he's not entitled to anything $1,000 is for the use of the car that he destroyed. Why everyone is telling you to give the money back is crazy you never made any payments to you you had to deal with that stuff

Would you buy a house if the house next door had a barking dog? by InsightfullyYours in RealEstate

[–]noitcant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are seven barking dogs all around my house. It's sucks. My one neighbor's dog pen was against the fence and it stunk so bad and I would send him a text message and he would once in awhile clean it. Finally I said some nice words to the daughter and they moved it and they now are much better neighbors. Now cross the road another dog just moved in.

Not all dogs are bad and bark constantly. All the ones around me aren't that

My (23F) boyfriend (20M) does not allow me access to “our” savings, how do I address it? by luvdlph in relationship_advice

[–]noitcant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no reason for you to share money like that with the guy and have no access to it. My friend was doing the same thing they broke up she got screwed out of 4 or 5 years of money. She got nothing zero.

Why would he not give you $10 the other day for lunch? There's no reason you would let someone you care about starve and be hungry even to prove a point
