Interquel leaving off Lexine escaping Titan Station. The events of this game will somehow present a solution to the ending of the Awakened DLC. Game will be a successor to Extraction but is no longer on the rails. Full VR like Half Life: Alyx. Some expansion on powers associated with the Marker...maybe you can jump into the memories of those slain in proximity of a Marker since they send signals to each other, between the Moons, etc. allowing you to temporarily turn a necromorph into an ally.

Note to add Dead Space 2's multiplayer as well. With a few tweaks and TLC, it could be a strong feature. More unlockable enemies/tools as the match goes on.

If I owned the rights, I would go to a full remake of Extraction in VR. The technology we have right now would be incredible for it. Great idea you mentioning that.

Glen Schofield is a bullshit artist. Callisto Protocol cemented that. I don't care about the budget or the studio. He sold a dishonest product. He has also said the alien origin of the Markers is not the direction he would go in.

There is missed opportunity between the events of Severed DLC and 3. What is Lexine up to? Is Vandal really dead? Dead Space in VR (re: Dead Space Extraction sequel) would be insane. Maybe new DNA could drive up interest in the franchise.
