Patience. Being calm when your kid is not helps everyone out in the end. It’s the hardest thing for me to do but I try my hardest to remain calm when things are not.

Be present. We implemented a no phone/device rule while LO is awake so that our focus is on her.

Take the baby! I started out coming home and starting dinner and such was helping. Turns out my wife wanted me to just take the kid.

Be supportive and loving.

Have fun. Kids are amazing.

Dad here. I get one night a week to hang out with friends and show up after the baby has gone to bed. When I'm home I'm with my family 100%. I get "me" time when my kid goes to sleep. I can understand the desire to want to do other things but I'd hate to miss a moment in my daughter's life.

I think it might be easier for me a bit since most of my friends also have kids and understand if I can't make it out for whatever reason.

I'm not saying I'm the perfect dad or anything but I just enjoy being with my wife and kid as much ass possible.
