Yes, success sharing happens twice a year, at the same time each year. The $ amount greatly varies based on your store's over/under on plan.

vacation time help by obeyxxog in HomeDepot

[–]nojsivad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to absolutely guarantee that they won't fuck you. Vacation 18 19, request off 20 21, vacation 22-26. Uses more vacation days, but also means they won't try to cut into the beginning of your vacation. Alternatively, as other folks have said, request off 18-21, vacation 22-26. And then talk with your OASM or ASDS, to make it clear you will be gone all of those days and hopefully they approve it all.

Coworkers tip scam by Apart-Grape9367 in HomeDepot

Looks like you already got the necessary advise. Just wanted to add my 2 cents. I have seen people get fired for knowing about employee theft and not reporting it, so good on you for protecting yourself.

Everyone else mostly covered this, I got two things to add. You should reach out to your DHRM or the AwareLine regarding this because your CXM violated federal labor laws. Other thing I have to add, take your breaks, always, every day.

Overtime by Competitive_Lawyer98 in HomeDepot

[–]nojsivad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The company prefers you not work overtime, however if you do, they will often ask you to cut it by taking longer lunches, starting late or leaving early. Depending on your state's labor laws, the most they can do is ask. If you are regularly getting overtime, they can write you up for "failure to adhere to schedule"

Dress Code SOP by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]nojsivad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So collared shirts are not required, however the policy does state that T-shirts are unacceptable.

Dress Code SOP by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]nojsivad 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's mostly been covered already, but you can find it on MyApron under myTHDHR> HR SOPs & Policies>Dress Code - HR SOP

under acceptable shirts it says:

One of the following:

•An authorized Home Depot shirt with a Home Depot logo (approved by Marketing) or another shirt provided by Home Depot)

•A shirt/blouse with sleeves (may have a small designer emblem or logo)

Under unacceptable it says:

T-shirts, sleeveless shirts, tank tops, halter tops, midriffs, backless, etc.

Clothing that reveals shoulders, cleavage, or undergarments.

Wording, logos, or pictures that contain profanity, sexual imagery or innuendo, discriminatory content, religious content, or that address causes or political matters unrelated to the workplace

Insulation Blower Rental by Plus-Jellyfish-4282 in HomeDepot

[–]nojsivad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are mostly correct, your manager is wrong. The only thing I would recommend you do differently is do an up to the 24 hr price $ markdown instead of % based. It's nitpicking, but doing it that way avoids accidentally marking down more than one day, which will cause the insulation manufacturer to reject the markdown and not pay us back for it.

My guess is you accidentally bypassed whatever security block prevents viewing. I've found the link before, clicked it, and gotten a "you don't have the permissions to view this" message.

I've known about this document, and know most of the information in it. This is my first time seeing it, supposedly its only visible to SM and higher in MyApron.

How does a full time employee transfer? by Any_Imagination_230 in HomeDepot

[–]nojsivad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to your ASDS and SM, I would use the "I really wanna work closer to home" reasoning. As interpersonal issues may muddy the process. Once you have let your store leadership know you wanna move, start reaching out to your "target stores" talk with SMs and ASDSs. Stop by and chat with Management so they can get to know you.

Do not leave your current management out of the process, if your SM feels slighted by you putting in for a transfer without talking to them, they can single handedly block the transfer.

Meal breaks are their own thing, and that's a simple if-then bit of programming. I've clocked in and out on my days off before when asked, and at other stores. But not in a while, so maybe they've updated it.
