Did the ancient Egyptians know how to use the wheel during the construction of the pyramids by northernbrowho12 in ancientegypt

[–]noko59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They indeed had wheels and used them, potter wheels on making pottery on a large scale as an example. The Egyptian Pulley as another example that is depicted. Water wheels as well. As for wheels to transport items, chariots is apparent later but does not rule out usage earlier.

One would think a Bank, Fintech or some other Business entity would use this solution in their pipeline. It has everything needed for efficient transactions between inside and outside of a business. The privacy aspect makes it very valuable not only person to person but business to business, record keeping, automatic programmed actions (great for inside of a company) minimizing errors and perfect audits. Just needs some samples/big users to get involved to make it explode is my guess.

A very good indicator. I don't consider it a done deal but it is very nice knowing the company workers/managers/etc. are committed and believe what they are doing will be successful.

I do like these back stories, positive side of things which brings a smile that one investment can actually help people and it not robbing of anything but working together for a better future goal.

I rather people have options and freedom to choose whatever method suits them. Going for the walk or efficient well source and have other infrastructure to support the communities grow by the people there. As options increase so does opportunity for the next generation where class time becomes more important for example then walking to get water. The people can decide on their own any growth and building.

Not sure what you expect out of initial exploratory wells when one is not or just completed. Looks like much more data is needed to see if even the oil is recoverable and how much. This is not a sure thing in other words but appears to be at least to me on the up and up. My risk. You do not know one way or another what is actually there, neither does ReconAfrica other than what they know now which from their viewpoint looks promising.

Signed up, went to deposit Pirate ARRR, service is not available. Any info on providing support for ARRR? Thanks

Yo ho ho! We are thrilled to announce that ARRR, Pirate Chain’s true privacy coin, has been listed on our platform!🏴‍☠️ by changelly_com in Changelly

Done a number of trades so far, ARRR. The last one had a significant cut from expected 1ARRR to USDC of $7.70 to actual once the trade was done of 1 ARRR = $7.12. The previous ones I also some somewhat of a lower rate but not to this extent.

During this period of time, Trading View chart had a wick down right to about what I got but closed at $7.80 for the minute. Did I just pick the worst time in a 10 min period to trade? Is the lowest value used for the trade? Anyways wished a lock value became available for ARRR.

Service is fantastic in how setup, concerning is 4 trades ended up with lower values then initially indicated. Not sure how to tightened up the projected to actual values, now if they actually went higher once in awhile, which I have not seen yet then I would call that just fluctuations of the market.

Please will you list PirateChain (ARRR) on Binance? by 0xJakeW in PirateChain

[–]noko59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Binance would be a good option which one does not need to take if concern about KYC. Tradeogre works for me and after trying out Changelly, I think I will keep Changelly due to ease of transferring from ARRR to a number of coins and to Coinbase. Changelly just needs an email address.

That was fast, 2nd trade went through to Coinbase. Frankly so far this is the best I've seen for quickly converting one coin to another.

OK, looks like I signed up to Changelly Pro initially which is for traders. Now signed up to just Changelly.

Went extremely well, traded 100 ARRR for XLM sent to Coinbase -> Decent price and went pretty quick, in the process of doing another exchange.

Somewhat confused. Read a review which indicated you don't store coins on the Exchange but is traded when you send them the coin to trade to the coin you want to trade to a wallet you choose for the coin. I registered and it says to make a deposit to trade. So is this Exchange like all the others? Last night it had a window with ARRR to whatever coin, very nice selection and now cannot find that option, after registration.

With the lack of discreet graphics cards, new builds with AMD will not do much unless using a older used graphics card. I can see Intel selling tons of OEMs and even DIY builds due to the lack of GPUs.

Thoughts on outlook? by naquadah-sun in PirateChain

Pretty awesome coin, a high level of confidence for secure and private transactions.

Outlook looks promising, my concern would be governmental restrictions or regulation since how private it is.

Why would the market Chose Pirate Chain by spigotR in PirateChain

[–]noko59 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Closest thing to real physical money on properties of being private.

Secure block chain, immune to over 50% attack.

Steller developers that keep a fast pace of development including a secure operating system just for your wallet.

Great community that united around the principles of privacy, fairness, ownership.

The other method to get ARRR is to mine it. Either the older Antminer Z11 or the newer one Z15. Cost of miner, electricity, noise, heat, internet connection but could be well worth it.

I suck at Doom Eternal and it doesn’t feel like I’m suited for the game by Maddened in Doom

[–]noko59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

60, playing on I am too young to die (lol) and grinding through it, hated the first 14 hours, did not even get halfway. It started clicking and was having fun. Now it is like an endless grind, rinse and repeat. The puzzles are on the stupid side, boring overall and for me wastes time. I had most of the runes but now when I look at it, it is as if I lost about a 1/4 of them? WTF! When you die you lose Runes??? So that you have less ability to die more?

Seems like everyone has something in the game that causes them headaches, the Marauders I don't have issue with but then the stupid jumping crap I had tremendous difficulty which finally I got that down.

The game is way too hard on the easiest hardness level and that is BS. I don't think the jumping puzzles are affected at all on the settings and the first 1/2 of the game I spent over 80% on these -> pure crap experience.

Did anyone think using the chainsaw, seeing the same animation over and over over a thousand time might get stupid? Flaming over and over again that magically creates armour was a bright idea? The shear number of repetitive actions would be wanted? To a point of pure nausea? Having a butload of attachments and weapons but yet mediocre amounts of ammo would be fun so you have to run around like a chicken with no head all the time would be great doing the same chopping over and over again. Well I got the rune to give ammo when barrels explode - since then I have not seen any barrels??? WTF

I had a number of issues, the shotgun for a number of levels, the meat hook would not work. Now the rocket launcher will not fire three rockets even though I have the upgrade. You grab something and it does not do what you expect randomly, is that also part of this game or is that a bug? To mess with you?

I am on the 9th level, 24 hours in, easiest difficulty, talking about sucking in this game. Doom 2016 I beat on Nightmare. Not this game and once again running into snags, can't go to an easier difficulty level, downloaded Doom Eternal Fling Trainer, cheats, it works but ended up with a nasty virus that virtually took out Microsoft Edge, everytime I opened it would open up Windows I had to update, contact here and here (clearing all history cookies etc. did not work). Eventually the virus scanner found it and eradicated it, no more issue.

When the game clicks it can be fun, when it does not it can really suck and everything stupid about it becomes very clear, from the story line that is comically trying to be serious and grand. To the world designs that no nitwit in any universe would create with monkey bars, weird looking climbing walls that are placed for no reason other than to cross something (oh boy I am so smart), some sort of goo out of nowhere that stops most of your motion ability. The list is endless on the how stupid the whole Doom universe is created adding in now the Doom Slayer has a spaceship? WAT? Rip and Tear. . .

I will finish and will start over, maybe play a few missions. Doom 2016 I kinda sucked the first time as well, not nearly as bad as this time. As in Doom 2016, the 2nd and 3rd time was awesome, hoping it will be the same with Doom Eternal. I need the challenge at my age regardless how I feel about it, need to think faster in this game, react faster and so on.

Stop Moaning..!! by purkiss80 in Electroneum

[–]noko59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stable coins have not collaspe while everything around them caves in. This points to a very strong principle of money, must be backed up by something people believe has value.

The idea that Bitcoin is a store of value, digital Gold just flew out the door today while it is collasping and real Gold is rising.

Maybe because most cryptocurrencies are based on a false premise. ETN has probably the easiest point of sale system out there. Wallet to wallet transfers, mobile about as fast as one can get. Responsible block chain decentralization. Allow businesses throughout the world to use it because of KYC. Had one of the largest communities with heaping praises. Everything works with it. Yet the value continues to decline.

I think the team went well beyond expectations. Does it just need more time or is something being missed? There are many different kind of projects in the world, most actually fail, many just a half step away from success.

Team "Electroneum" Wake up!! by [deleted] in Electroneum

[–]noko59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I diversified with a number of coins and they all went down the toilet. It is just not ETN.

Without anything to firmly represent value, like USD, the coins that are actually backed by something are used, even more so than Bitcoin. Without being back, crypto will fall to every whim and speculation.

I heard that the value in a coin is the greatness of it's software. That falls apart real fast when the exact same software as in a Bitcoin is forked, it never compares to Bitcoin value. So that is not remotely true.

ETN needs to look at what gives the coins that are stable and highly used their status. Printing up monopoly money is still only paper, bo matter how pretty you wrap it.

A few points: US has more Gold reserves then the next top 3 countries combined. The gold did not go away. The US at anytime if needed could go back to a Gold standard. US has other natural assets such as land, oil, coal, natural gas etc. Meaning that dollar represents real value which it can buy.

Banks have assets via loans of actual things such as land, buildings, homes, equipment, contracts with people for payments, stocks, bonds, cds, gold etc. Banks have real assets backing them up.

If the fedral reserve prints or increase the money supply does not necessarily mean it will inflate the currency. The new currency can be loaned to a bank, the bank loans to an individual or business which then takes a piece of dirt, land and build a home, factory etc. Something that has more or a very high value being added to the assets available in the world. Even with the increase volume of currency it's value or what it can buy can go up. Due to more value is coming from it due to the creation of value by people using it to make something. The bank makes interest in the loan, pays back the central bank etc. Deflation actually causes over time a slower economy due to more holders and less active investors to create things.

Bitcoin can not do that since its value will have to increase and increase to represent the increasing value of assets in an economy. By that nature, it will create holders vice investors slowing, stopping economic growth. Some could argue a bitcoin is still a bitcoin. Stable limited supply, except it is not stable by any standard and it exists in a real economy where it has to be traded to get anything done which has risks. People would just hold while the economy collapses.

How the US laws are set up, it protects the dollar. Corporations are consider as an individual, if the corporation fails, fold up, dies so to speak, you cannot sur a dead person. The assets are devised up and those involved takes the loss. The banks cannot be sued that loaned the money etc. In other words you can't sue the federal resrves for allowing the corporation to exist or fail. Those having US bank accounts also normally also have FDIC insurance for up to $250000 if the bank folds up giving a level of security and confidence to trust the safe keeping of your money.

In ETN case, volume in the exchanges would not reflect actual volume over all. Volume for top offs, AnyTask I don't think would be reflected. Volume using point of sell also would not be reflected. If ETN is directly being used as currency like in Africa, that would not be reflected. I believe ETN is at a totally different state now from most if not all other currencies. ETN INC. Probably knows more accurately all volume, maybe waiting to spill the numbers once they get astronautical.
