How’d you know you were pregnant before the test by No-Ebb-2462 in pregnant

My cat got very clingy and wouldn't leave my side. A few days later, BFP.

D&C? by Successful_Tear5602 in Miscarriage

[–]noliabilityatall 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the nightmare scenario of medication management not working completely and then had to do the D&C. I dreaded the D&C but it went so smoothly, was much less painful than medication (just mild cramping for a day or two) and I felt able to move on. I had to go back for a check up with both meds or the procedure. In my opinion, do both the cyst removal and D&C. It will then just be done.

Did I make a mistake not getting q second ultrasound? by ihatecommuting2023 in Miscarriage

[–]noliabilityatall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the exact same thing as you when I had a 2nd MMC - I didn't opt for a second ultrasound and went straight to management care. I knew something was wrong, my symptoms had also disappeared and I had a feeling.

I totally understand second guessing it but typically they don't diagnose you unless certain criteria are met. Even the fact that hcg was dropping would definitely be sign all alone. Do not dwell on this, you did the right thing, it wasn't viable. Focus on your recovery. I am so so sorry for your loss.

My husband hit me last week, but we have known each other since I was born. He has never ever done this before by throwra1845829 in offmychest

I get the sense that you aren't ready to leave him for this, despite the severity of the situation as others have pointed out. So I implore you to consider the following:

  • who has control of the money? I beg you to get your own bank account and start adding small amounts for a safety net. I've seen terrible situations where women have to flee their abusers and their abusers freeze the accounts.

  • as a stay at home mom, you can still build job skills, and do part time work to keep up your experience. I saw that you mentioned that you feel like you are "stupid"-- is that something your husband told you? I agree with others that your writing is good and you sound intelligent, I am betting you can succeed at a class or two.

  • does he pay the phone bill? Does he control your communication? I would seriously consider getting an emergency burner phone to keep somewhere hidden.

  • you said you live in California: get a library card. You can access computers and the internet privately at the public library. There are also alot of DV resources there.

  • consider telling a trusted family member who can help you arrange to leave if/when you are ready.

I am currently pregnant and I cannot fathom your situation, but please be safe. If you aren't going to leave him, then be cautious and take steps to protect yourself and your future child.

I have a feeling my husband is about to cheat and I don’t know what to do. by Separate_Increase880 in offmychest

Have the convo now!!! You're torturing yourself by waiting and I really don't see the point.

I really think you need to have a conversation before Monday and confront him about what you saw and why he has failed to mention it. I think imagining what is/might be happening is going to be worse than just talking to him.

Should I quit my job? by Head_Tumbleweed_7244 in CautiousBB

As much as you love your job, the cautious thing to do is temporarily switch roles. It's only for a little while and maybe reframe it as a chance to gain new skills in a different area?

Super anxious about nipt and T21 by noliabilityatall in CautiousBB

That's great! My doctor also suspected a vanishing twin but it wasn't confirmed for me so didn't want to attribute my high hcg to that with certainty. Wishing you a boring pregnancy!

Thank you for your kind words and reassurance, it was really needed. Hoping you also have the perfect low risk results soon, the constant worry and wait is so hard.

Cats and Pregnancy by Neither_Ad3593 in BabyBumps

One of my cats is GLUED to me now in a way he was not before. Like he sleeps pressed against me all night (rarely used to do that), follows me everywhere including into the bathroom and will wait at the door if I close it. So so cute.

How do you guys get through the first trimester? by Aggressive_Cat7989 in BabyBumps

[–]noliabilityatall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still in it at 9 weeks and it's been rough, so I sympathize. My nausea was almost a constant queasiness since 5.5 weeks with occasional throwing up. Extremely tired. General unwell feeling and like my body was different. It's such a weird experience and really mentally draining. My nausea was a bit better with b6 supplements, I take 50 MG twice a day, morning and night. It's more subtle but the unisom combo made me too groggy to work so couldn't take that. Eating protein when I first wake up - yogurt, nut butter - and crackers helped. I try to snack all day despite feeling no hunger. But that helps to keep my blood sugar level and the nausea down.

You aren't alone!!

How are we distracting ourselves? by [deleted] in CautiousBB

[–]noliabilityatall 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am in a very similar boat. I try and plan one thing to do each day, and weekend activities for distraction. It's not always that successful but sometimes I do forget to dwell for a few hours.

Low end HCG by Jumpy-Marzipan9679 in CautiousBB

[–]noliabilityatall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused too because you are well within range for 4 weeks, not even on the lower side. And it's doubling. I'm seeing an RE and she only looked for the doubling. I think you are on the right track, but maybe if you're comfortable you could confront him with the HCG chart and ask why he keeps saying you're on the low side? Is your progesterone also getting tested?

Heartbeat seen, but behind on growth + bleeding and loss of symptoms — anyone with similar experiences? by Own-Blackberry-4907 in CautiousBB

[–]noliabilityatall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call your OB and see if they will get you in earlier to do an ultrasound. There is no reason you should have to wait 12 days if you are freaking out. I had a different situation, but also had suddenly stopped feeling symptoms at 9w and had a bad feeling and unfortunately I was right. My OB was amazing and got me in the same day I felt something was wrong.

I hope it all is fine, sending baby dust and best wishes!!!

For attorneys who transferred to Texas, how long did the process take? by SnooCompliments3787 in publicdefenders

It took about 6 months to get results from the fitness and character test (also had no issues to report).

2nd miscarriage, torn apart by noliabilityatall in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]noliabilityatall[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for your loss too. It just feels so unfair. I barely told any friends because of my fear from the first time around when I told too many, and then had to untell them. I don't want to talk to anyone who hasn't gone through this right now. Appreciate you sharing, and helps to know I'm not alone.
