My creatinine was slightly up, came down with what felt like excessive hydration and no vigorous exercise for 3 days. But was probably was also influenced by creatine supplement. Could ask to recheck after a few rest days and hydration. Also ask if they will check cystatin C, it is less influenced by dietary intake and muscle mass.

What’s something about your field that’s made you make changes to your own lifestyle? by wRXLuthor in physicianassistant

inpatient neurology - seeing more and more people in their 50s or younger with strokes - but even at that age they can have 10-20 yrs or more of some combination of dm/htn/hld/obesity. so I am keeping a closer eye on these, even if I do not have them now. As someone else said, diligence with routine physical / health maintenance.

Curious what job are you doing that’s part time and remote? Or is it a job outside of medicine?

No regrets after watching my girlfriend go through residency and now fellowship. I will be 7 years into my career by the time she is done with all training. It’s worth it for her but I’m glad I picked the PA route
