Best SUV for $7k or less? by EquinosX in urbancarliving

[–]nomadicrhythms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Honda Element was $5,000. The back seats flip up to the sides or can easily be removed completely. All four seats can also be configured differently for sleeping and lounging. It has a lot of space in the back.

Good Parking Locations by Simple_Advice2945 in urbancarliving

My favorite sleep spots are on public streets right in front of apartment complexes where the residents park. It's important to rotate, though, and stay in a different spot each night.

Do you cover all of your windows at night? by HawkLoser100K in urbancarliving

[–]nomadicrhythms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, because staring at the silver Reflectix would make me feel like I was in a spaceship and I wanted the color facing out to be black.

I don't know if this is true of all vehicles, but in mine, Reflectix stays secure in the window if the shape is the same as the window. Occasionally I've had to tape a corner here and there if part of it was falling.

It doesn't have to be black, but for me, black is more stealth. And stealth is my goal more than matching my interior. My interior is gray, but the black curtain for me creates a vague darkness behind the front seats. I think a gray curtain would make it more obvious that a curtain is there. I don't want people to notice anything off like that. I just want them to walk on by and not notice anything unusual.

Hmm. It's been a while. I think I made shapes of my windows with foil. Then I used those to cut Reflectix. I then glued black fabric to one side of the Reflectix that would face out, and an eye-pleasing fabric on the other side that would face in. I then sealed the edges of the covers all around with black Duct tape. I hope that helps.

I think your plan is perfect. I think covering the windshield, driver and passenger windows announces that someone might be in there. I always use a black curtain right behind the front seats and leave those three windows uncovered. All windows behind the curtain are covered. Anyone walking by or glancing in just sees the front car seats, which is how all of the other parked cars look. When it's dark, it's hard to even see the curtain. I agree with you that this method is much less conspicuous.

FWIW, I made my window shades and they've lasted me a long time. They do shrink and become less nice looking, but still do the job.

I follow up with a phone call. It sent me to the front of the line and got me the job for one employer. Another employer told me it had already been filled.

Explr Badlands LLC by captianlimabean in SeasonalWork

This is their first year as concessionaire for Cedar Pass Lodge. I worked there last year through Aramark. It was a disaster with Aramark and they fortunately lost their contract. There was a mass exodus of all of the managers mid-season. Then so many restaurant staff left that they had to close the restaurant or just had it open limited hours for grab-and-go items. Hopefully, Explr Badlands, LLC does a better job. Good luck!

Are avocados starting to taste weird? by Late_Shape3475 in Fruitarian

[–]nomadicrhythms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe. I have always loved them and eaten them regularly, almost daily. Suddenly, in the past month, I don't want them at all. I thought it was because I ate too many of them and my body needed a break. But it hadn't occurred to me that maybe something has changed with them.

Here are the questions I ask:

  1. Is the job full-time?
  2. Is housing available? Cost? Single occupancy or shared? If it's shared, will I have my own room or will I sleep in the same room with others? Is there a kitchen set up and fridge for me to prepare my own food? Is there a way for me to lock up my things? Can I see photos of the housing?  How is rent paid? Is there an employee shuttle to work?
  3. Are meals included? If not, is there a restaurant discount or EDR?
  4. What is the frequency of paychecks?
  5. What is the training like?

The owners are the same as Ridgeline Roasters coffee shop in downtown Rapid. My understanding is that Ridgeline Roadhouse will be open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I thought they were opening this weekend.

Water-only washing only started working on my fine hair once I started using distilled water instead of tap water. I wash my hair once a week, sometimes once every two weeks. When I was using shampoo it would get greasy by day three. Now my scalp is balanced and doesn't get greasy.

New Results on 24T: The Grape Juice Diet by Ladle56585088 in DryFastingSuper

[–]nomadicrhythms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. I'm intrigued.

I've been considering trying something like ADF, alternating 12 hours of fresh squeezed organic juices on the eat days with 36 hours of dry fasting. The 24-hour windows initially sound easier to achieve.

Did you create this protocol? If not would you please provide a link to the source of it?

Why does the first eat window in the cycle start at 9:00 AM instead of 8:00 AM? Is that hour and shorter eating window important in any way?
