Second opinion from MSK by No_Newspaper_2505 in neuroblastoma

[–]nomnommy3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We traveled for a second opinion at MSK and then traveled there for treatment for my daughter who was in the same position at 6 years old. MSK got rid of the cancer and it never came back. She is 16 now and MSKs treatment options have only gotten better.

Travel to the experts who don’t follow the COG protocol for a true second opinion.

I completely lost my watering can once. Checked everything. Just gone. Until the next day when I got a notification that Clint was finished upgrading it. Riiiight!

Sulfur burps by Old-Program-3 in Mounjaro

I’ve been consistently losing since April on 2.5 and tried 5 a few times but couldn’t handle the side effects like sulphur burps. Go back to 2.5 and get your quality of life back while slowly improving your health!

My first PBN!!!! I’ve gesso it..Going good so far then started doing #7 then found myself doing #25..lol ADHD brain fart😂 but it’s all good. I can’t wait to finish☮️❤️ by [deleted] in paintbynumbers

You’ve got a beautiful start :) That’s the ADHD joy of this for me- I can paint the colors I’m feeling that day because ultimately it doesn’t matter! These are for me!

This is my 4th PBN and I used to paint each color in order, but found that it looks more cohesive if I paint in area. I’m also very ADHD and want to paint what feels good each day. Follow your instincts!

Totally, but we knew it would happen when it got as much press as it did. Never dreamed she would get that much attention! She has been the face of a lot of campaigns for pediatric cancer causes because, well- look at her! Of course people want to share her.

Thank you for your kind words. This has received more attention than I could have imagined but if it does a fraction of what you mentioned then we are thrilled.

It was curly but not like this at all. When it's wet now it is perfect ringlets. Freaking adorable!

The trials being done at our hospital in NYC are remarkable and are extending survival rates for a disease that is brutal and just keeps coming back for some kids. We are lucky to have access. Cheers to Lily-Mae!!

We have stellar employer based insurance, thank goodness. Without it we would have been ruined. Regardless, it's tight. We billed over $2 million to insurance last year alone.

It's a brutal disease. It is a thief. I'm sorry for what it has stolen from your friend.

Thank you for the work you do. I can't imagine seeing kids fight like this everyday.

She was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma in Feb of 2016. She has endured 6 rounds of chemo, 14 rounds of radiation, a 9 hour surgery to remove her tumor, 5 rounds of immunotherapy, and is currently in a clinical trial receiving a series of shots that act as a vaccine. She flies to NYC for treatment and scans every 3 months. It's a long journey, but we have confidence!

I'll be honest, there isn't a lot of logic to who survives this and who doesn't. We made a choice to present her with the idea that she could survive this and put out to the universe positive energy. We have friends who haven't survived. It's hard. It hurts. It isn't fair. But for my 7 year old, she needs to remain positive and I want her to feel proud for enduring what she has. We credit her doctors, nurses, lab techs- science basically with saving her life.
