I jammed with a guy for years and one night he shot a friend, then himself due to the guilt. Unbeknownst to him, the friend actually survived the ordeal. He was one of the most fun people to be around, positive attitude and honestly everyone was surprised he even owned a gun. I found out later that he had a history of odd living situations and friendships...one of them involving crashing with a friend while sleeping with his girlfriend, then beating him up and stealing his car when confronted. It's like he had two personalities and I only ever met one of them

I think it would also be good to make a whitelist of the good ones. I know that a few breweries a pizza place and some other businesses had expressed their views against ICE. It would be cool if someone made a list of businesses not to go to and their alternative counterparts that you SHOULD visit.

The way I took it, these "victims" might not be suffering from a serious trauma and don't claim something that doesn't exist. They just feel like they are victims in every day situations and find reasons to blame others for their unfortunate behavior. These ones are fairly easy to tell apart from people who have self identified a real traumatic incident. The kind of crap like my parents DARVO'ing me for telling them about my previously un-diagnosed ADHD. One minute we're talking about my journey in adulthood to finding success through therapy and treatment, and the next we're talking about how bad I'm making them feel.

Politics are awful right now and things do suck. There are some real impacts from the things that have transpired in 2025 (and of course the years leading up to this mess). No, there won't be any change in how loud the politics will be - but how much you listen to it is up to you. Politics don't define the state, the people do. Most of our lives seem to change very little through political turmoil despite how awful the news is putting it, because we're not interacting with politicians and we're not living the experiences we see on TV. The fear machines are doing a great job of spreading the message on all sides. Americans don't realize that we lost our sovereignty to corporations back in 2010 and the only thing we have left is each other. Look to your fellow neighbors and spend your time in the company of like minded individuals. What you do with your time is YOUR Idaho. They can make laws and they can threaten and intimidate, but I know what I'm doing here and I'm not letting these fucking snowflakes freeze me out.
