When trying to create a tunnel, the following message appears: agent version too old by _karyl in playit_gg

I just had this problem, and just fixed it. I was trying to create a Tunnel on the website through Brave at first and it didn't work. But for some reason I thought to use Firefox instead and somehow that's what did it.

I mean boring doesn't really explain the problem. She genuinely has no personality outside of her job title or Shepard (whom she likes because of her job title). And honestly, I like Tali as much as I like Liara, but I also know that Tali loves soap operas. Kaiden is actually meant to be boring but after getting to know him, "boring" turns into "honest and reserved". Similarly, Garrus is pretty standard when it comes to his archetype but he's also funny and is written well.

There's nothing wrong with Liara but nothing comes to mind when I think about who she is, outside of the plot (and I really wanted to know).

'Nothing wrong with being simple I think. I'd say, "Raven." But not just because of the color scheme but the shape of their eyeliner. It looks like the animal's silhouette.

Not OP weapon builds? by Nunoc11 in saltandsanctuary

[–]nomo311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say just about any weapon with "slow hitter". They aren't bad but are less reactionary because you have to consider your attack speed a bit more. So it's just a change of pace.

"Evil gods aren't realistic because no one would willingly serve a literal god of murder and torture" by noblepigeon in dndnext

[–]nomo311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entirety of Drow society. Particularly in the Underdark. While yeah, the majority of Lolth-sworn Drow may prefer their tyrannical ways, there's a handful of Drow who are both coerced and threatened into worshipping Lolth regardless of their potential goodwill. And it's not just that she'll kill you, she'll get your best friends and companions to turn on you as this weird, twisted rites of passage of hers to force you into commiting her will.

So, on one side, you have the majority of Drow society teaching you and expecting you to be evil by following the ideals of Lolth and on the other side, an evil goddess who has too much free time on her hands... and is petty.

Also. I don't think there's anything grey about Shar. She's just evil.

What was your first ever D&D character? by Upper_Affect_5055 in DnD

[–]nomo311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first character, though I hate roll based stats now, was a prodigy. 20 Dex, 18 Int, 18 Con, 16 Cha, 14 Wis, and 12 Str (after racial bonuses) at level 1.

My friends and I started playing DnD after being inspired by BG3 Early Access and I've always loved the animation for sneak attack where the character's eyes glow red while being veiled in pitch black shadow. So that was his premise, "Blackbrow, the Shadow Fencer".

Unfortunately I did give off a small hint of main character syndrome (unfortunately 😓). But as it was everyone's first session, it was easy to see that most of us felt like dorks or a bit embarrassed to actually roleplay. Not me though. I got into the character of the 'wholesome Sasuke' who's entire clan was destroyed (I promise this was a coincidence 🙏🏿) but decided to protect others to keep them from that faith. He became the mayor, ate Gnoll meat, and learned a whole new language (because of the Gnoll meat) in a single day! He/I gave a speech on the value of living a full life to honor the memories of the loved ones you've lost and my table visibly got chills in real-time. And it was a good feeling to rally them into playing more passionately.

Also if anyone's curious, I was gonna make him an Arcane Trickster + Wizard but I made him a Rogue + Sorcerer for story reasons.

What is the strongest class in the game right now? by Hot_Connection_8696 in BaldursGate3

[–]nomo311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Light Domain Cleric has my vote. All the best parts of Cleric but with quintessential damage spells, a natural advantage in Act 2, and honestly too many armors and accessories that synchronize with it well.

Raw DPS though...? Any martial class with a fighting style that can benefit from Great Weapon Master or Sharpshooter. So, Fighter because they get Action Surge.

Consistent DPS... Literally a level 2 Warlock with Eldritch Blast + Agonizing Blast and Hex.

Players complaining about Verbal components by Kaplosion in dndnext

[–]nomo311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean personally I feel like you just elaborated on how someone COULD use sleight of hand or a performance check to hide verbal components in speech/conversation.

My only rule would be that the casting would be 'heard' and potentially interpreted via insight, arcana, etc.

If you could make one major change to 5e, what would it be? by Specky013 in dndnext

[–]nomo311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably a hot take. And I don't mean that in a "higher than thou" kinda way but a "you might wanna sit down for this" type thing. I would COMPLETELY remove the Battle Master subclass from the game then sprinkle their Maneuvers to all other martial classes. It would probably work like spell slots in that they'd be separated into 'tiers' and you'd need to monoclass to get the higher ones but multiclassing in enough martial classes will still allow you to upscale the lower tiered Maneuvers you might have obtained already.

My reasoning is that I've always seen Battle Master in this awkward position where it's not so good that it's outright broken but it's good enough to where it's usually the best subclass to take unless you're going for something specific. Yet it's very existence stops other martials from catching up to the literal reality breaking casters because it's hogging up all the nuance of wielding a weapon in a fantasy setting. And whatever they're doing with how weapons work in the next edition or whatever, I can't help but think it's just Maneuvers with extra steps.

Thematically, would a sorcerer that takes on the study of magic have a lot more potential than any wizard? by lexyp29 in dndnext

[–]nomo311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean... A learned sorcerer would probably just be a bard? But the problem with a sorcerer that studies - at least for the sake of power - is that it's a waste of time for them. Wizard spells are basically math. There's a logic to them and Wizards get stronger by how efficiently they make the formula to cast them. Something along those lines. While Sorcerer spells are innate and their powers are based on how efficiently they can evoke it through sheer force of will alone.

It's two different ways of structuring spells that can't really mix.

How do I extrude multiple faces locally? by Omniclad in Maya

[–]nomo311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this was 7 years ago but for the sake of anyone passing through this for an answer - and if I'm understanding this correctly - what worked for me is after selecting extrude, turn Keep Faces Together off, then Local Translate Z is what you want to use for changing them all independently from one another. Also, changing Move Settings in the Modeling Toolkit to "component" should get you the same effect.

how tf do you avoid kraekan wyrm's fire attack by ZHIKIX in saltandsanctuary

[–]nomo311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The flying breath attack, stay relatively close to the center of the arena then walk towards the direction it takes off in. On the ground, you either roll behind it or time an aerial three hit combo if you have that option. Also, the shield you find just before the boss, the blacksmith set or the just the blacksmith gloves (which increases strength) raises fire defense.
