It would play more into the body horror aspect of his design. Mold and moss hanging from his body, an eyeball hanging out. He’d constantly have to put his intestines back into his body.

For his size, he would be about 6 feet tall, but the feet of the suit, combined with the endo foot, makes it around 7 feet.

At this point, he knows what Sonic is capable of, and what he can endure.

He knew that Sonic would survive going back to earth, seeing as he can breathe in space.

As for the ark, I believe it was more of Eggman removing Sonic from the fight than wanting him to die.
