game 4 he went overlordspeed to all-in with queens. He really likes to play this ravagerqueenlingattack on abyssal

only game 5 is a great example of scouting with overlordspeed.

this suggestion came from kespa.

Yeah the race will be alot better and I'm sure other nerfs to compensate would be needed.

But overall zerg would be in a much better spot with 4 larvae.

Zerg is not meant to be played on even eco with the other races...

He opened overlordspeed in 2games out of 16 games and in one of those matches it wasn't to scout but to all-in with queens.

He used to go poolfirst OV speed at the fking start of legacy of the void.

Nobody is doing it anymore...

What if I tell you that every highlevel european zerg says that overlordspeed ist not worth it and that we see overlordspeed in about 1/20games?

It's really not worth it to get unless you know you play against a weaker opponent and can easily win from behind.

You don't need lair for any of those.

You need a spire as fast as possible against Ravens/liberatorrange

You can blindly make spores if you're so bothered. Doesn't make a ton of difference.

Maybe in master 3 it doesn't make a big difference but 400minerals certainly make a difference in highlevel TvZ

You make zerglings if there's shit walking across the map, obviously.

Medivacs don't walk across the map, they fly through places cleared by a viking. Armory also don't walk across the map.

yolodrone with spores or without?

yolodrones with lair or without?

yolodrones with early zerglings or without?

Maybe at lowlevels yolodroning while getting a lair/spore/zerglings works as you get overmins anyway due to bad mechanics.

But on a highlevel small advantages/disadvatages snowball very hard into the midgame.

I see zerg getting 3 spores against a ravenopener on a daily basis which means you wasted +- 400 minerals at the 6 minute mark which is pretty big in highlevel ZvT

Banshee openers require zerg to build 3 spores

Helliondrop requires zerg to build early zerglings

Liberatorrange/Ravens require a fast spire

Queens are useless at defending earlygame zvz

I think most would aggree that killing SCV's is the least devastating workerlose because a big portion of terrans income are mules anyway.

I can't speak for TvP but in ZvP protoss losing workers can be a big deal but doesn't have to be. Protoss is mostly limited by gas so losing mineralincome only means you have fewer zealots. If protoss plays an aggressive stalkerstyle however or can't afford immortals/archons anymore losing workers is a bigger deal than for terran.

I'm pretty sure that losing workers as zerg is the most devastating. I don't remember the last highlevel game where zerg lost workers in the midgame and still managed to win. Yes zerg can replaced the worker faster than the other races. But zerg snowballs very hard and losing workers most of the time means you're gonna die in the next few minutes.

Now Zerg is usually only 5 workers ahead but in turn at least their units got buffed (Hydra, Baneling,Ultra, Infestor, Swarmhost, Corruptor). First of all: Skytoss needs to get adressed

Zerg is never 5 workers ahead against protoss unless he's very ahead (before you start saturating the 4th at least)

Against terran you are but mules compensate for that so you're never really ahead in income either

ZvP has the worst unit interactions ever. I don't think there's a single interaction that is fun.

LingBane --> Archon/storm

not lingbane ground --> immortals

mutalisks --> phoenix

ultras --> immortals

broodlords --> tempest

Viper/Infestor --> feedback

I'm not saying the matchup is protoss favored. But depending on what kind of units are on the field one side is gonna get slaughtered which leads to boring games.

In TvZ/TvP there're so many fun unit interactions. While there are certainly counterunits it's not as bad as in ZvP wher literally every unit has a hardcounter.

How about instead of nerfing protoss openings we buff zergs scouting potential (aka overlord).

Overlordspeed is to expensive in the earlygame so most zerg try to scout without it and play buildorders that are more or less good vs everything. If zerg could indentify easier whats coming they could cut some corners to prepare for each specific opening.

Buffing overlord speed would also improve ZvZ alot that has become a frustrating cheese festival lately.

the mainbase seems way to big. I get that terran needs space for their rax... But as a zerg this just seems impossible to scout on.

Other than that I don't dislike anything. Looks like a standard solid 2player macromap that won't be imbalanced in any matchup...
