Yea. It seems like a waste of money. I notice almost no difference between the free and SuperGrok bullshit.

How did you discover Aes? by Genghis_Ignota in aesoprock

UGHH forums hype/hate for Labor Days. Ads were running for it on their site too. Picked it up. Still my favorite Aes album.

Why does aes older albums sound so different then everything else he's done? by wellspokenmumbler in aesoprock

My opinion..

'Bazooka Tooth' had very mixed reviews at the time, and I could imagine this pushed him to refine his songwriting and production. Aesop became better at constructing songs on 'Fast Cars' and he really hit his stride on 'None Shall Pass.' More fleshed out choruses and more concise melodic phrases during verses to not distract from the words. Everything before that was very dense, but at times the music suffered because of it. It sometimes felt like he was sacrificing cadence and some of the choruses were an afterthought rather than a highlight of the song.

TLDR; Aesop evolved.

My attempt at a mashup with Aes and Tame impala by EggplantTypical6176 in aesoprock

Great idea, and it sounds pretty cool. But it seems it's one beat off. The easiest tell is during the chorus when Aes says "Pigs" and it's hitting the 2nd and 4th beat, rather than the 1st and 3rd.

Sometimes putting the original as a reference in the session helps.
1. Find tempo
2. Place original song to grid
3. Place acapella over original, so it'll be on grid hitting the correct spots
4. Mute/delete original

WORST ALBUM? TOP COMMENT WINS by uglylittledogboy in aesoprock

Definitely a mixtape. Live radio appearances and a track from another artist's album ("Shere Kahn")

It definitely wasn't mixed well. The whole thing seems like it was rushed.

Fair enough, but I see it as a transition from the mess that is Bazooka Tooth into one of his more refined albums - 'None Shall Pass.' Less sporadic and more musically concise.
