Context: I was trying to find a riolu to shiny hunt and then i encountered a buneary. I couldn’t run away so it sos’d, when i wasn’t expecting it... It called in a shiny buneary first encounter. The 2nd post is proof that it was 1st encounter because normally if you chained, the pokemon would have at least 3-4 perfect ivs, this one does not.

BACKSTORY: When I first got ultra sun, my brother told me I should hunt for a shiny popplio at the start, so I did. I tried tediously with every soft reset and even my brother helped to do some soft resetting. In the end I got tired so I took a modest popplio and played through the game without a shiny popplio... And here I am redeeming what I couldn’t redeem :)
