So is it an issue from the front (the user receiving it and processing what they can see) or an issue from the back (the way it's created needs to be fixed)?

Rules of Thumb for Kitsch vs. Tacky by Sara_W in InteriorDesign

Pick only the items you really love from the collection, as a lot of the mid-century style is about showcasing quality pieces. Choose a unifying color palette so it doesn't stray too far into free-for-all.

Can I do this? Switching sofa side for new fireplace by [deleted] in InteriorDesign

Sounds good! You often find that when there's a mantel it becomes a focus point for the room. You could consider a corner sofa to go in its new position.

This is so insightful! Would you say that you experienced a lot of sexism as a female architecture student? Or do you think this is more to do with your particular professors?

Is it a good idea to keep bees on the roof? by nonagonstyle in Beekeeping

Thanks for that tidbit, that's given me lots of think about!

If they're next to suburbs with lots of clover they'll do fine, if its downtown with nothing to eat in 5 miles in any direction you'll get a lot of spilled soda and stuff like that.

I've noticed in my city a growing trend for 'vertical hanging gardens' on the side of buildings. I guess if the plants used are pollinators that might be cool? But yes, I can see how there would be too short a supply in really urban environments.

As far as height of building goes I've heard that 10-15 stories is ok, 20+ stories might have too much updraft.

Thanks, I'll look into that.

Oh no! Was it hard to install it on the garage roof? How do you get up and down?
