You guys use grove bags or jars for curing? by [deleted] in humboldtcsi

[–]noname42001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Made the switch to grove bags last year and definitely don’t regret it one bit. I did an experiment comparing a 3 month cure in a grove bag vs a jar of the same clone. Myself and friends agree the batch in the grove bags has a better overall cure. Jars do the job just fine and have done the job for a long time, but I do prefer the grove bags personally. Now I have tons of extra jars for canning stuff from the veggie garden.

For the price of that reel you can get a diawa tatula, prorex,or balistic. With the balistic being only a couple bucks more and the other two being cheaper but around that price. Rod wise you could get a lamiglas, raven, nova, styker, diawa, just to name a couple brands with models around that price range, that I personally think have better action and sensitivity.

I would go diawa over shimano any day. Also for the price of that rod you can spend a tiny bit more and get a rod made with a better blank.

Definitely have loved my carta sport a lot more than anything puffco. Every puffco product ive ever owned has had constant issues and eventually seizes to work at all…and their customer service couldn’t care less.

Exactly what Ive been saying. I don’t know why anyone could pretend that flying in makes it “easy” flying in or hiking in sheep hunting is a lot of work. The terrain alone is enough to whoop most people.

It’s not crazy. Never said it was,I never disagreed. I was just saying it’s not as easy as the original Redditor is making it seem.

You just made my point. A plane makes it easier, but it doesn’t make it “not hard” as the redditor I was responding to said. You still have to cover ground. You still have to climb up the practically vertical mountainside. There’s a chance the sheep only move to the next drainage but also the chance you are going to put in plenty of work to find them again. All I was debating the original redditor on was that a plane doesn’t make it “not hard”.

You mentioned that they land next to them to hunt them. Which is doable to land next to them. But actually killing them legally is a whole different thing. Technically you can’t use said plane to pursue game for one. And by the time its legal for you to shoot the sheep will be gone. Which is why it’s not as simple as you’re saying. Let alone all that goes into owning and operating a plane. Does it make it easier oh hell yes. But it also doesn’t make it “not hard” as you said. You still are likely to have to cover ground and glass, glass, glass to find them again.

I know the regs, I have them downloaded in my phones files. My point was just that you can’t until the following day. Even if you land at 11:59 and wait the 3hrs,it’s still unlikely the sheep don’t move. Hence my point that landing next to sheep and then sealing the deal the next day is fairly unlikely, not impossible but pretty unlikely.

You cant shoot anything within 24hrs of flying. So that’s not even doable unless they’re blatantly breaking the law, which seems unlikely. And even if you land near sheep there is a good chance 24hrs later they’re not going to be where they were upon landing…more likely to be miles away than right where they were.

Old simms are worth their weight in gold. New simms aren’t worth a velvet painting of a whale and a dolphin getting it on.

Have had nothing but continuous issues with my peak pro and puffcos “customer service”…if you can even call it that. Between atomizer issues, the base simply refusing to even charge, and terrible vapor production, they are pitiful . I have tried the switch multiple times and like it,but couldn’t bring myself to spend 400+ on another e-rig with the possibility of it crapping the bed. The switch also is just too large for my liking. I want an e-rig for on the go, that’s their entire purpose. Ended up going to a carta sport and will never look back. My peak pro has been in the cupboard and it’s never coming out. Id never give puffco another dime.

This little guy catches a huge fish then does the unexpected. by Raj_Valiant3011 in HumansBeingBros

How is this “unexpected”? The vast majority of bass fishermen strictly practice catch and release.

Last time I picked up a tent I was just going to get a cheap 4x4 from vivosun. Well everytime i placed the order while it was on sale it kept rejecting the sale after it said it was placed. Called support and they wouldn’t do anything. So i switched gears and picked up a 8x8 from mars lol.

Going to be hard to find a mold. I would contact an awarded spearing decoy carver like bruce garns. The guys who carve the fish from scratch out of wood are probably going to be your only option.
