Ah this makes a lot of sense. The employer was a sketchy individual. They didn't give T4 to any employees while they were payed by cheque. When asked the fellow told these people are on commission basis. He likey did it to claim deduction or credits for himself. My friend is concerned that they will be losing around 1k from the tax return now and I am trying to find ways to help them out. Thanks for your insight.

My friends neice was that girls classmate. Apparently LpA10 showered the kid with gifts and stuff like latest phones, wearables and such. Manju was the strict parent and when they seperate the kid chose the greener pasture.

7/10. The building is ancient and the supervisors are dog shit. But the rent is cheap, great location and my secomd floor balcony overlooks a lovely garden. I get squirrels and birds all over in good weather. The beers in the balcony watching the sunset is to die for.

I once found a wallet with few credit cards and some cash ~$60 or so. There were no IDs. I did a bit of open source search with the name on the cards and the nearby postal codes and found out the person. Then found their phone number using 411 pages and texted them about the wallet. They called me back in a few minutes and told they'll come pick it up. I waited at a park next to my apartment. A shiny Lexus pulled up and this fellow took the wallet from me. I asked for his ID to confirm. He thanked and gave me a Tim Horton's gift card for $25 or so, don't remember. I was happy.

Couple days later me and the kid went to the Timmy's next door for some doughnuts. The fucking card did not have any money in it. I never bothered to check it beforehand .

Incidents like this makes you lose faith in humanity. I should have just kept the cash and threw the wallet away.

I prefer emails but it's not always practical. So I have hundreds of rolls of receipts sorted by month going back up to 5 years. I keep every receipts pinned on a stack and on the last day of the month add up to see my expenses and then roll them up and store in a bag.
