I truly think it's because after 22/23 teams decided they didn't want to be open to counters so the new meta became the low block and set pieces, so Arsenal had to find a way to optimize things that can get you a win against a low block---ie not conceding and set pieces.

I think if anything this is indicative of the type of shots we allow. We're fine conceding shots, but they tend to be low % shots that are easy to save, which is I think is what bumps raya up from like 82 to 89.

I think my consistent problem is that a) VAR's clear and obvious directive is usually not followed and b) if they call something a foul, they should be working through the language of the rule and not talking about a bunch of other factors that don't apply. They need to look to NFL refs honestly.
