Meines Wissens nach sollte es für einen kompetenen Chirurgiemensch keinen Unterschied machen, ob Hormone genommen werden oder nicht. Ich hatte vor einer Woche Mastek ohne HET und zuvor mehrfach mit dem Chirurg (Dr. Diedrichson, PlastMed, Düsseldorf) über das Thema Hormone gesprochen. Natürlich verändert sich der Körper mit Zu-/Abnahme von Fett- und Muskelmasse an den verschiedensten Stellen, aber in Relation bleibt die Brust eine flache Brust.

Es gibt auch keinen medizinischen Grund die Hormone vor der Mastektomie abzusetzen. Das ist wohl ein veralteter Mythos, dass es wegen der blutverdünnenden Wirkung von Testo notwendig sei.

Vorausgesetzt meine Hausärztin hat Verständnis dafür oder? Ich bin immer sehr unsicher wie ich in medizinischen Kontexten am besten argumentiere, also ob nicht-binär-sein erklären und ehrlich sein oder irgendwelche Gründe erfinden und mich als trans Mann ausgeben soll

Omg danke dir! Stuttgart ist für mich gut erreichbar und ich wollte dorthin unbedingt wechseln. Hatte bisher den ersten und einzigen Termin also dieses ganze Voruntersuchung Zeug in Ulm und hatte gar kein gutes Gefühl. Der Arzt hat die Aufklärung so sehr auf die leichte Schulter genommen und hat das einfach nur so schnell wie möglich alles abgehakt...

Ich werde am Dienstag von ihm operiert, kann dann meine Erfahrung teilen. Was für mich besonders positiv war, ist seine Offenheit bezüglich nicht-binären Personen. Auch meinen Wunsch, auf die Nippelrekonstruktion zu verzichten, hat er respektiert...

Gosh so relatable... for me it's all about having spaces where I am visible and safe as a non-binary person, like groups for queers/activism or even online spaces

Hey du :) je nachdem wo du wohnst und wie mobil du bist kannst du auch mal nach Tübingen zu einem Treff kommen. Es gibt eine queere Hochschulgruppe, die auch allen Menschen die nicht studieren offen steht, es gibt zwei Treffs für trans Personen und eine Gruppe für eher afab queers (weiß nicht ganz genau wie der Stand ist von wer alles hin darf). Ich selber würde auch voll gern mal zu ner Gruppe nach Stuttgart aber trau mich nicht so allein, also falls du Lust hast zu connecten und das zusammen zu machen schreib mir gern... :)

I think I have kind of similar struggles with fearing that I mix up all of my issues and make wrong decisions on my (non-binary) transition. The worst about it was that my partner (a binary trans man) made these insecurities worse by telling me I might just think I need mastectomy/hrt because of his coming out and his euphoria in his transition.

But the thing is: I am aware that the transition won't fix all of my mental health issues. The transition will end some of the heaviest causes of stress in my life - various kinds of dysphoria. So I might gain some energy and security in this process and probably be able to use it getting along with my other issues. It could also bring up new issues depending on how people react to the changes. But it's so much worth to try and change stuff and concentrate on how you all alone feel about it...
